Sorry for the wait, my little asparaguses! I went on a trip with my best friend for our graduation present and there was absolutely no service for a week! Well, before we move on, I just have one request. I know I don't make announcements very often and it might be annoying when I do, but I don't make them for nothing! Just check out my announcements at least once in a while? Announcements usually mean I need all of your guys' input! So please respond to it! Sorry if this is asking a lot!!! To make up for it, here's the next chapter :)

It's almost been a week and I've recovered faster than I first thought. Today is my last day at the Nara household, both relieving and sad. I was suppose to leave yesterday, but Mrs. Nara insisted that I stay one more day. I think she really wanted a daughter, because she was very motherly to me. I'm beyond grateful for the family's hospitality, but I must get back to my own house. I shake hands with Shikaku and thank him, then turn to his wife and hug her. "Thank you for everything!" I mumble through her clothes as she squishes me in a hug. "Visit often, you hear? Oh, I'm going to miss you so much! If you ever need anything our doors are wide open for you!" I giggle at her response and nod when she lets me go. "I'll be sure to visit, don't you worry!" I wave to them as I walk out the door, where Shikamaru waits. I stop in front of him and smile, where he returns it with his signature half smirk half smile. "You're going on a mission in a few days, right? Stay safe out there." He 'advises' as he puts his hands on his hips. "Yeah, I guess I'll try not to get killed this time." I joke with a light laugh. "Heh. You better, or else all of my help would be for nothing. That'd be a drag." He steps closer and puts a hand on my shoulder. For a few seconds, we stare into each other's eyes and I can feel my cheeks heat up. Then, he takes his hand away and smiles again, nodding to me before walking away with his hand raised in a wave. "See you later." Is the last thing he calls to me before he disappears back into his house. Happy yet slightly confused, I make my way back to my own house, taking a deep breath as soon as I step through the door. Just then, I hear a bark. Normal, right? Except... it came from inside. Is there a dog inside my house? How did it get in? Closing the door behind me, I walk further into my house, checking each room as I go. The last place I enter is my bedroom. Slowly, I peek inside and.. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING INSIDE MY HOUSE!?" I screech, pointing a finger at the one and only Inuzuka. Kiba scrunched his nose and rubbed one of his ears as he looked up at me from sitting on my bed. "Keep it down, will ya? I just woke up from a little nap." I glare at the boy and place my hands on my hips. "You still haven't answered my question. And how did you even get in here in the first place!?" I huff. Kiba smirks at that and stands up, stretching his arms above his head whilst Akamaru stretched on my bed with a yawn. "Well, Princess, I found out a while ago that you don't lock your door when you're in a rush to go training." All I can do is gape at said male, and think back to every morning before the incident. He was right- I almost always forgot to lock my door. "But how-" I started, though he quickly interrupted. "I take Akamaru on walks regularly. We just so happened to come by a few times just as you were leaving. And to answer your other question, we were housesitting for you. No need to thank me, I can tell how much you appreciate it." He gave me a thumbs up and I facepalmed. "You- I- My hou- you know what, never mind." I shake my head, a smile appearing on my face as I giggle. "Honestly, I'm just glad to see you." I happily express, hugging him tightly until he hugged me back- although unbeknownst to me the action had made the taller boy blush. Next, I patted Akamaru and let him lick my hand. "So cute!" I coo, then face Kiba once again.

*TIME SKIP DUE TO KIBA BREAKING INTO YOUR HOUSE*

After I found Kiba in my house, he seemed to be- well.. not clingy, but more like possessive of me. We went out to spend the afternoon together, but every time I tried to talk to someone he dragged me away or did something to call my attention- heck, he even paid for the black and white happi coat I was trying to buy so that I wouldn't talk to the cashier. Even though it was a bit weird, I wasn't complaining- in fact, I found it kind of cute. He was like a little puppy (no pun intended.. well, maybe just a little XD) that needed all of the attention just to feel seen. Now finally, in the late evening, we sat on a bench eating three colored dango. The sun was going down and stars already dotted the sky. "I should head back soon. I have a mission tomorrow and-" I stopped mid sentence as I turned to Kiba, who looked mildly upset. He wore a frown and looked down at his lap where Akamaru lie. "What is it, Kiba?" I questioned with concern, placing my hand atop his. "I.. Wasn't able to protect either of you. To be honest, that's part of the reason I was in your house.. Because I couldn't look after you, I looked after your belongings. Doesn't make much sense, huh? Well, I guess I just feel like I'm partly responsible for what you had to go through, you know?" His voice crescendoed from a pained voice just above a whisper to an almost humorous, normal vocalization. I observed him with a sympathetic gaze, subconsciously intertwining our fingers together. "Kiba.. if anyone was responsible for my condition, it'd be me. I shouldn't of tried to take on a rogue ninja alone- on top of that, I'm the reason you were badly injured as well. Don't blame yourself." I smiled reassuringly, which seemed to cheer him up a bit.
