《◇♤Chapter one: Not a human!?♤◇》

《♧♡[A/N] sorry if this is super cringy, I don't write a lot if that wasn't super obvious already, I just hope y'all don't mind the poor writing. I'll try to improve my writing quickly! Anyways, i hope you enjoy it♡♧》

《♤Shuichi's POV♤》

Today is the day I guess... I hope my parents don't find out and get mad at me, that'd be the last thing I'd want from this... I thought as I ate my breakfast(probably fish and oysters) I finished eating and cleaned my hands with a sponge, then I began to get ready to go.

Should I bring something to help me not get lost? Hmm... I think I'll just look for identifiable things in the areas I go so when I come back it won't be a problem... yeah. 

After deciding on that I finally went outside, my parents didn't see a reason to put a lock from the inside as I never tried getting out before this so there was no problem getting out of the house itself.

I started going southeast of my home since my parent's territory stretched further northwest. While swimming I saw a shipwreck with many different colors painted onto it and it looked like it had an infestation, I also saw a rock that was about 3 times larger than me that sat at the side of a different shipwreck, but without almost all the colors the previous one had, finally I saw a coral reef with 2 hammerhead sharks swimming around and within it. 

After the coral reef I decided that I've gone far enough for today and I should return home so I started going back to the larger rock/Boulder and shipwreck. When I got there I saw about 7 other sirens, most of them being greenish but one was yellowish-tan. I decided to travel left just in case they were hostile and wanted to attack me.

But after a while of swimming left I think I must've overworked my body with so much swimming because the last thing I remember was that everything started to blur before it all went black.

《◇Kiibo's POV◇》

I was on my usual path to the supermarket to get some weekly groceries. I was about a block or 2 away from the store before I checked my breast pocket for my wallet.

I must've forgotten to grab my wallet after I checked the fridge and pantry... I'll just go home and get groceries in an hour or 2, it's not like I'm busy today.

With that being said I began on my path back home which from the supermarket is;

A walk through a few blocks out the main town area(on average takes 5-10 minutes), through a small path right next to the shoreline, and finally a 3 minute walk from the shoreline path to home.

So all in all these trips took 20-30 minutes on average.

After 7 minutes I got out of the main town area and was walking through the path that goes along the shoreline. Something was off though. There was a... human!? They were passed out on the shore too! 

They seemed to be taller than me from what I could see, slender, they had 5 scars on one shoulder, gambogeish-grey things where their ears should be that resembled fins, and dark blue hair with an ahoge to top it off.

I decided to pull them further away from the water so they wouldn't drown but when I did pull them out they didn't have legs but rather... a fish tail!?

"EUAGHH-oof!"

《♤Shuichi's POV♤》

I jolted awake to someone screaming. "EUAGHH-oof!" Huh? I turned my head to see someone;probably the one who screamed, scooted away from me on the floor with a horrified expression. 

They looked very pale, presumably male with spikey, snow-blonde hair that swayed to the left with an equally as spikey ahoge at the top. They also had robotic looking legs and grey hands along with large, mechanical blue eyes. 

They wore a mostly grey sweater with lighter grey stripes and weird black symbols within the light grey stripes along with a neon green pocket, there were also dark grey shorts with neon green stripes on either side.

They also just stared at me so I attempted to start a conversation. 

"So, uhmmm w-who are you?" I tried to say with as little stuttering as possible.

"Yo-You aren't human!?" The snow-blonde male replied, probably still shocked.

"O-oh uhm, no I'm a siren. Sorry..." I explained, quickly apologizing afterwards. 

"Wait... why'd you apologize? I didn't think you did anything wrong." The other said with a confused expression. 

"O-oh I umm... guess it's a bad habit..?" I responded, a little confused myself at this point. "A-anyways, are you human? Your legs look different than a human's should. Or at least I think so," I tried changing the subject.

"Oh yeah! I am a robot! My name is K1-B0 but I preferably go by Kiibo." The so-called robot replied proudly.

"Oh, well I'm Shuichi, Shuichi Saihara and as you already know I'm a siren. It's nice to meet you, Kiibo" I responded while shakily reaching out my hand. Humans do these 'handshake' things right? I hope so, it'd be embarrassing if I messed up. 

He took my hand in his and shook it, "It's a pleasure to meet you too Saihara, " he smiled kindly. "Oh! Uhm, do you need water or something to keep you hydrated? I don't know much about sirens..." he asked me while turning his head to the side awkwardly.

"Oh yeah, I do. If it's not too much troub-" I started but got cut off. "Of course! My creator gave me a good amount of strength so getting you back to the water should be no problem!" He responded happily before pulling me back towards the water.

"Would you need anything else? It'll be sunset soon after all," he asked kindly.

Wait... oh no...

" I umm.... i don't want to be a bother bu-"

"Nonsense! Nothing you ask me is a problem!" He cut me off again.

"O-Oh uhm... could I stay with you until morning...? Sorry! It's just that my parent's will find out I snuck out if I go back home now and then they'll never trust me again!" I tried to explain nervously.

"O-Oh! I ummmm... sure..? I'll need to prepare somewhere for you to sleep though if you do, probably an inflatable kids pool will do... anyways, stay here for a lil bit and I'll get the pool ready! Okay?" Kiibo replied, smiling lightly before dashing to what seemed like a path.

"O-Okay!" I shouted after him. I can't believe he actually agreed to help me! I'll have to show him my gratitude tomorrow. I could make something from pearls like jewelry. I heard humans like those. But he's a robot.... either way I hope he likes it!
