It's just one of those stories where no one is truly happy. Louis thinks Zayn is straight and marrying Perrie, and Zayn thinks Louis is still happy with Harry but he can make Louis happier if they were together. Harry is oblivious to the two's longing for each other. That's about it, really. I can help you with the progression of this story.
