Didn't go into detail much, but however you want the two to meet is entirely up to you. I don't know, maybe Liam is a good guy but in a relationship and Niall is a loving non-realist who can't accept that so it's more-so a pining love on his part. Didn't really go into detail but it's a really sad story where Niall can't have the love he wants with Liam and maybe Liam feels guilty when they meet and he can't love him the way he wants to be loved. Idk, as always I can help the progression of the fic.
