My suggestion to the writer:
Keep it fairly simple. How the two end up overboard is up to you, but Liam is in love with Niall and he doesn't know it. The two end up abandoned in the middle of an ocean but find an island (very cliche, I know), so they have to somehow find a way home. If you want other people to be on the island too, that's fine. That's basically it, you add your own drama. No changing the pairings and if you wanna write this, then write it and don't just take it and go on hiatus for months like some people I've sold my story have done. Other people might want this story so don't take it if you don't really have an interest to write it. Thank you!
