Nico di Angelo had recently graduated from New Rome college and was sitting on Half-Blood Hill next to Will Solace, watching the sunset.

Will fingered something thin in his hand. "Let's get over to the lake."

"Yeah, sure." Nico stood up and helped Will to his feet.

A few minutes later, the two of them were on the banks of the canoe lake, watching a light show. It was the Fourth of July. The shore was filled with demigods, laughing and talking as they watched the fireworks.

Will kept twisting something between his fingers until a bright sun-shaped firework darted across the indigo sky. Then he leaned closer to Nico.

Nico put an arm around Will. His boyfriend had been acting tense all day, and he was wondering why.

Will whispered into Nico's ear, "ti amo."

"Ti amo anch'io," Nico whispered back.

Will closed his fist tighter. He spoke a little louder, but only loud enough for the campers near them to hear.

Reyna, Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Frank, Leo, Calypso, Piper, and Jason looked around at the two boys.

"I love you, Nico di Angelo," Will murmured, "and because of that, I ask you, will you please stay with me forever?" He opened his fist. Laying in his palm were two necklaces. One of them had a small sun charm on it, the other had a moon.

Nico's eyes filled with tears of joy, and he laid a hand over Will's. In the sudden bright light of a firework, both boys saw the other's faces. Mirrored expressions of love and joy showed in their eyes. They held each other's gaze for a few moments longer, before Nico whispered,

"Yes." His voice was croaky. "Yes, William Solace."

Will gently clasped one necklace around Will's neck, laying a hand on the sun charm now laying on Nico's chest. Then he slipped the moon necklace around his own neck and kissed Nico.

The two young men leaned against each other, ignoring the smiles the campers around them were exchanging.

Nico pulled on his jacket. He heard the door to his cabin creak open and turned, hoping it would be Will. It was Reyna.

"Good morning."

"Morning, Sorella," Nico replied, clasping his necklace around his neck.

"That was a pretty awesome proposal." Reyna sat on the edge of Nico's bed.

"He probably thought about it for a long time." Nico smiled. "It was amazing."

Reyna snickered. "Kayla and Austin won't leave him alone."

Nico snorted.

"The Aphrodite cabin demanded why Piper was smiling so much last night, so now you've got a parade of love goddess' kids."

Nico smiled thinly. "Why is everyone making such a big deal? They didn't do this for Percy and Annabeth."

"You and Will are special." Reyna shrugged. "When are you guys gonna get married?"

"I don't know." Nico tied his hair back. "I'll have to ask him."

Reyna nodded. "Makes sense. What do you think your dad will say?"

"Dad won't care as long as i'm happy." Nico walked over and sat next to Reyna. "But Apollo won't ever leave us alone." Nico grimaced. "Gods, Apollo's going to be my father-in-law."

Reyna laughed. "It's not that bad, is it?"

"You don't know the Greek Apollo," Nico assured her. "Last time I was with him, he let Thalia drive his sun bus and we crashed into the lake."
