Is this really happening?

Chapter 11

Andrea's pov

I nearly dropped my phone.
I couldn't believe what I just heard.
I was speechless.
I looked at Arden and told her to run to the car and that I'll explain later.
I grabbed my stuff and ran after her.
I got in the car and drove to the hospital.
At every stop we came to, I would wipe the tears off of my face.
It felt like my heart stopped and my whole world came crashing down.
At one point, I had to pull over to make myself stop crying and imagine Jenn being alright. I still couldn't believe it.
I don't know what I would do if she wasn't alright.

We finally arrived at the hospital.
I went inside and ran to the woman at the front desk.
"I'm looking for Jenn Macallister"
I say, my voice a little shaky.
"And you guys are?" The lady said, obviously not noticing the rush I was in.
"I'm Andrea Russett and this is Arden Rose, we're her best friends." I say trying to calm myself down. She looked down to her computer and started typing.
"Room 203, third floor to your right." She said looking at us in sympathy.
"Thank you" and with that I left.

I stood there, in front of her door frozen.
She probably doesn't want to see or hear me.
"Come on, I'll go in with you." Arden said comforting me.
"I don't know if she even wants to see me right now" I tell her.
"Hey, I'm here so you won't be alone." she said.
"Fine lets go in."
As I walk in, my heart just sankes.
I just stare at the love of my life all broken and beat up.
Wait did I just say that?
No, I know I did not just think that. I wasn't thinking straight because, I can't fall in love with a girl, who is especially my best friend. I couldn't.
I just kept looking at her with disbelief. She had a lot of wires connected to her.
She was asleep. I didn't want to wake her up.
"Arden, tell everyone that Jenn's in the hospital."
"Okay I'll go outside." she said walking out the room.
I walked to Jenn and stared at her.
She had cuts on her face, cuts and bruises on her arms, and she had a cast on her left arm and one on her right foot.
It hurt just looking at her in pain.
I sat down on a chair, next to her bed.
I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers.
"Why did this have to happen to you?" I asked crying.
"Why didn't it happen to me instead?" I asked crying again.
Arden came in the room a few minutes later.
"Andrea, I got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, that she's gonna be in a coma."
I looked at her in shock. I was speechless for the second time. I felt the tears running down my face.
Why was this happening to me?
She doesn't deserve this suffering, I do. Although, I felt like I was hit by the car.
"Okay*sniff*, what's the good news?" I asked hopping it was really good news.
"Well, the nurse said she might wake up in 2 or 3 days." she said. At least it's not a week or worst, a month.
"Okay thanks. What about everyone else, are they coming?"
"Yea, they are all on their ways."
I just sat there, praying that she'll wake up soon.
"Hey let's go get lunch down stairs, it's already 2 o'clock." she said putting a hand on my shoulder.
I didn't even realize it was lunch time.
I nodded and got up to walk away, but before that, I looked back once more and thought 'God she is still beautiful' and left the room.

"Damn this place is beautiful" I said admiring the huge place.
There was a huge water fountain in the center of the place, large lego statues, you can see the beautiful sky. There were people talking, sitting and eating. There was gift shops and a Starbuck.

"I know right. I've never been here before."
"Yea cause we don't come to the hospital to eat very often." I say with a chuckle.
"Okay smartass, let's go eat at Starbuck."
"Sure"
As we sit down to drink our coffee, we see the whole crew and even kian.
"What the hell is he doing here?" I yelled at Arden.
"Maybe he heard about what happened." she said calmly.
"But don't worry, he won't try anything on you, cause he know what will happen if he does." She said confidently.
I didn't even want to know what would happen.
I got up and walked to all of them and explained what happened to Jenn. It made me get tears in my eyes just thinking that she could of died.
After that, everybody wanted to see how she was doing, so we went upstairs.
We went inside her room and they all looked very shocked, at how badly she was injured.

When everyone left, Jc walked up to me and looked at me like he was about to cry.
"Andrea, I think this was my fault."
Jc said blaming himself.
"How can this be your fault?"
"Because before this happened, she was at my house. We were talking and laughing about last night and all, then we kissed." He said trying to remember her lips on his.
I couldn't even look at him. I felt like I couldn't handle any more pain, or I'll brake and never stop crying.
I looked down at the floor. I didn't want him to see the hurt and tears in my eyes.

"After that, she apologized and left." He said with tears in his eyes.
I couldn't help but cry too. I deserve it though.
