Beatrix Griselda is a sorceress from the universe of 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' live action movie. She was thrust into the Whoniverse by Horvath, an evil sorcerer who had intended to lock her in the void for all eternity. Now she wanders this world...
Beatrix Griselda was abandoned as an infant at an orphanage. She ran away when she was twelve because they beat and whipped the children there and was found by Balthazar Blake. He could sense she would be a powerful Sorceress, but it was also evident she had no idea of this power. Balthazar decided to take her under his wing as his apprentice while he searched for the Prime Merlinean.
As he'd predicted, Beatrix was very powerful. Able to do things most other Sorcerer's rarely could manage, most prominently the ability to use any ring with a large stone as her Sorcerer's ring, swap between them like choosing a different pencil. Then ten year old Dave Stutler stumbled into their shop, revealed to be the Prime Merlinean Balthazar was searching for. Only for Horvath to escape the Grim Hold and all three Sorcerer's to be trapped in an urn cursed to imprison whoever opens it for ten years, to the day.
The events of the movie, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, continue until retrieving the Grim Hold from Horvath goes wrong. Merlin's ring and the Grim Hold are lost to Horvath and he sends Beatrix into the Whoniverse by accident, having intended to lock her in the void for all eternity. Saying she's too dangerous dead or alive, though she's confused as to what he meant by that. She's been here for six months, trying to acclimatize to her new reality and find her way back to her own universe.
