Ladybird always wondered what had happened to the original Ladybug, she wanted to know why Ladybug had given her the earrings. When Alya had been digging around for her phone in her bag she had come across a tiny black box and a magic floating Ladybug kwami. She had transformed and met up with Chat Noir her new partner, although Chat Noir seemed heartbroken by the fact Alya had the earrings and that Ladybug, the girl he had fallen in love with at first sight was not coming back. Alya could hear when he whispered under his breath about being abandoned again, that was enough information for Alya to adopt Chat as her new brother. They shared identities and Alay accepted Adrien as her new brother who she promised that they would find the original Ladybug and give her back the earnings and reunite him with his soulmate.

For months she and Adrien did their best to find Ladybug, even asked Marinette to help them. Now she knew why Ladybug had given up the earrings. Alya was Marinette's best friend, she knew how low self-confidence Marinette had and she knew how much low self-esteem her BFF had. She knew Marinette didn't think very highly of herself and now she knows why she, Alya had been given the earrings.

Because Marinette thought she couldn't do it, that she wasn't worth it.

Now Ladybird stared at the scene before her eyes, as Marinette, who she had given the fox miraculous to was being hugged by Chat Noir. Ladybird felt sorrow in her gut as she watched her best friend hug her true partner back, Alya could see what Marinette was saying through her head.

She wasn't worth it

Releasing the butterfly from her yo-yo she watched as Chat Noir smiled like a child on his birthday. "M-My Lady!" He pulled the white, pink, and orange fox closer to his chest, holding onto her like she was going to disappear from his life. Marinette's long fox ears bent down as she cried into her partner's shoulder. "You're here, you're actually here in my arms." he says as pulls back and looks at her with eyes filled with so much love that it hurts Alya to know that all that love is nothing to how much Marinette hates herself.

"Chaton, I'm sorry." the fluffy fox says as her light sunset colors mix with Chat Noirs pure black leathered hands. Chat Noir smiles and takes her hand, pulling it up to his lips to kiss as a tear falls down his cheek. "There is nothing to be sorry for my Lady, you're here now after all." he says with so much love in his voice. "Ladybird can give you your miraculous back and we can finally be partners again." Alya nods because as much as she loves being a hero she knew that the earrings did not belong to her, that she was not a real Ladybug.

"I mean as cute as you look in the fox miraculous, I prefer you in red and black." He joked, not noticing her stepping back or her fluffy big fox tail start to flick around. Marinette did look cute in the fox miraculous, her raven hair was in a high ponytail that had extra volume to make her hair look high and curly like a fox's tail. Her tips were pure white, on her head was a light pink barret that had two long light orange fox ears on the sides. She had a light pink collar that had an orange ribbon wrapped around it, along with a white bow to hold the fox miraculous. She had on two pearl earrings, her top part was black while a white and pink like stomach with laced designs were on her chest. The laced designs stopped at the bottom of her stomach and soon orange was at the bottom along with black fluffy boots. She had light pink fur wrapped around her arms and a string of white pearls went from her miraculous down to her belt that held her fluffy sunset tail.

"No, I'm sorry kitty but I'm not taking back the earrings." Marinette says as she takes a few more steps back. "W-What?" Chat says as he still is holding onto Marinette's hand tightly. "Now wait a minute Ladybug, these earrings belong to you, not me, plus Chat Noir is your partner, not mine, he belongs with you." Ladybird moves closer and she can see the panic in her friend's eyes. Chat Noir feels her try to tug her hand away, he finally realizes she's trying to run, trying to leave him again. "My Lady?" he says as she finally looks him in the eyes "I'm sorry kitty, but I will only just mess everything up." his heart breaks and he accidentally lets go of her hand, she sees this as her chance to run only for her wrist to be grabbed, "No! please I can't lose you again!" finally she tugs her wrist from his grip and makes contact with his eyes before turning around and making a run for it.
