"I don't think we need to change cars today" I explained to the driver
I was coming back home from school in a beat up car to make it look normal and I usually switch to a limo in case later and we take the long route home cause we don't want anyone following us. But today I was too tired from gym class to even switch cars, we had to run a mile under 7 minutes which I am not a fan of.
Sunday went by really quick and I got all my homework done except I needed to read Moby Dick for English and I haven't even started. And to top that I have a Spanish test to study for.
Then I reached home and went inside to see that Phoebe and Layla in there bathing suits holding pool donuts and other pool stuff.
"Hey! We're heading to the pool!" they announced "wanna come?"
I hesitated, on one hand I had a truck load of homework , on the other hand, it was the pool. I think it was very clear what my choice was.
A few minutes later, I was at the pool on a poolside chair trying to enjoy the sun while reading Moby Dick for class. In my own clothes and no wig.
When I heard someone call my name and I turned around to see Katie, oh no! I screamed on the inside.
"Katie?" I asked surprised "this is not what it looks like"
"Really?" she asked in disbelief "cause it looks you lied to me about EVERYTHING"
"Oh" I said honestly surprised "then it's exactly what it looks like"
She spun around and left.
"Katie, wait!" I ran after her with a quick glance at Layla and Phoebe who didn't seem to notice her "I can explain"
But she was gone. And the guards wouldn't let me go outside like that, there were paparazzi outside waiting for pictures and autographs.
Right now I felt like the worst friend ever. I don't even feel like I would be my own friend right now.
