Prompt: "A kiss paired with a tight hug, knocking the breath out of the person being hugged" with Cordelia

Ship: Cordelia Goode x disabled!fem!reader

A/N: This one features a disabled reader! I was in the emergency room last night for an infection and when I was waiting I wrote this piece. It's very important to me that I write disabled characters. Being disabled myself, I don't always feel desirable or sexy because of it. If I can can help when one young woman who is disabled and/or sick, who readers this and feels represented, I will be happy 😊.

It felt as if the wind had been knocked out of you as Cordelia's body collided with yours. Cordelia always greeted you when you came home, but not usually this way. Although you had initially been caught off guard and admittedly irritated at how Cordelia seemed to forgot about your fibromyalgia pain sensitivity; but when you noticed the sniffing that came from your girlfriend, you quickly softened.

"I'm ok Delia." You whispered as she pulled back just enough to be able to look you  in the eyes. Sure enough, her gorgeous chocolate eyes were puffy and glassy, the evidence that she had been crying for hours evident on her distraught face. You gave Cordelia a sympathetic  smile, your free hand that wasn't occupied by  your cane, coming up to wipe the fat tears that rolled down her flushed crimson cheeks.

"I'm so sorry I didn't call you baby  I knew you were busy with the council meeting and Zoey was with me so " Before you could finish explaining why you hadn't notified her that you were going to the Emergency room for an infection.

"Sweetheart, all I care about is that you are ok." She said in a horse voice before closing the distance between your lips. After the day you had had her lips felt like heaven, moving against yours with an intensity and desperation that Cordelia only possessed when she was very upset. You melted into her kiss, your weight leaning into the woman you loved. Cordelia  held you tighter, as if she was afraid to let you go.

Sometimes you forgot how emotional it was for Cordelia, having to watch as you struggled through your chronic illness. It was terrible for you but having to sit by and watch, unable to take the pain away from you was almost an impossible task for her.

When the two of you begrudgenly had to part for air, Cordelia ran her delicate fingers through your hair, caressing your scalp, as she did when she was attempting to help you calm down. You hadn't even realized tears had began to trickle down your cheek and you made no attempt to wipe them away, enjoying the closeness between the two of you too much to care.

"Why don't we get you in your pjs and I'll make you some Angel milk." Cordelia said with a sweet smile. You nodded, wanting nothing more than to cuddle up with her and watch your favourite show while enjoying the milk drink she made you every night to help you sleep. Especially after the day you had had.

"I would love that baby."
