16 years later....

Aria POV

"Dad come on...just this once.."

"No."

"Please...?"

"No."

"But whyyy" I sigh. "Because you know how it works around here. You don't leave this building unless you get a call from Central, and since your off for the next week, your staying here." Dad says strictly as he walks over to a chair to sit down. "Fine. I'll stay here with you." I say as I walk over to my explorer journals and read through my last expedition with my dad silently. "I have a meeting with the Zodiacs today about the election for next Chairman...do you want to come along?" Dad asked me. "Sure but I stay outside okay dad?" I ask him. "Alright, alright. I got you covered, but you do know that you will be one of us soon right?" He chuckles ruffling my hair. "Yes dad, I understand that, but till then I want to stay out of it." I point out to him matter-a-factly. "Fine. You can wait outside the conference room, but your not waiting there by yourself. I'm having Bean sit there with you till its over, so you don't think about walking off into town. Am I clear Aria?" He asked me. I sighed and looked up at him," Fine. Mr. Bean can stay with me. As long as it isn't Pariston." I growled at him. "Why would I have him of all people watch over you. He's a complete idiot. He'd loose you in 2 seconds." He looks at me. "Now, come on. We're gonna be leaving soon so lets start heading to the Hunter Association." Dad smiles at me and starts out the door and I paused for a moment, pulled up my face mask on, then followed behind him.

When we got there, I must say, it still looked tacky. It was still an all white building with the hunter logo on it, and God did I miss it. "You sure you want to walk in there. You know you don't have-" "No dad, im fine." I cut him off shakily and continued walking with tears brimming my face. "You're late, AGAIN Ging." Cluck yelled. "Welp, it isn't my fault you guys are to damn early for your own well being." He smirked at her. "DAMN IT GING YOU SON OF A-oh Aria...I didn't see you there..." She cuts herself off after I walk out from my dads tall shadow. All I did was bow to her and stay silent like I always did. As I continued walking into the Association building, Mr. Bean walked up to me. "MISS ARIAAA YOU CAME!!" He yelled happily as he scuttled down the hall. "Mr. Bean, how are you? Its been a few years since I saw you." I smiled and asked him. "Oh im fine, but the question is how have you been. Since the Chairman passed...You were awfully close to him and I'd assume you would have it the hardest out of anyone..." He said to me but soon tailed off when he saw the tears fall from my face. "Netero was my teacher and my closest friend. It was heartbreaking to know he passed away, but he had a noble reason to die so I've heard...It would've been nice if he said goodbye before he left to do the mission or at least sent a letter explaining what was bound to happen..." I cried slowly sinking to the floor. Mr. Bean looked at me sadly and sighed. "He did write you a letter...But he had told me to give to you after we heard nothing from him. Here." He said, handing the letter to me.

Aria Freeces,

I apologize that I had to do this over a letter, but it left me no choice. I was given a mission to kill the Chimera Ant King known as Meruem, and I had to use my full power to kill him. If you were given this letter and reading this now, it means im probably long gone. I had left a will for the Association with instructions on how to run the next election but I am writing another to you. My last wish is for you to finally know the truth about your family. You are not the only child Ging had, but you were the only one he kept. You have a twin brother. I never told your brother about you due to that being Ging's problem and not mine. In my eyes, you were more than just my student, you were the closest thing I had for a child of my own. Not only am I telling you the truth of your family but I am also giving you something of my own. I am giving you the dojo I trained you in. Take care of yourself out there and take care of your lousy father. Do not show anyone this letter, it is only for you to see.

When I looked up at Mr. Bean, he was holding a picture frame and a key. "The Chairman told me to give you his key after you read it and this picture." He says as he hands me the items. When I turned the frame around, I noticed it was a picture of me and the Chairman when I was 4 years old. "Thank you..so much Bean..." I said turning to him with tears streaming down my face. "Of course Aria. Now then, do you wish to know more about your brother?" He asked me. "Sure, I have time." I said looking at him.

"Your brothers name is Gon. He took the hunter exam 2 years after you did and passed. Both him and a friend of his were involved in the Chimera Ant Massacre both still alive, but Gon is currently in the hospital in critical condition facing near death. We tried everything we could but no one would help him because his aura was to dangerous." Mr. Bean says as he hands me a picture of me and a little boy being held in my dad's arms. "His friend is currently on his way back from wherever he went to, to bring a cure to him. Would you like to visit your brother? I can stall for you if you go." He asked me. "What am I supposed to say to them if I go. Dad must not have wanted me to know about him or him know about me, so what am supposed to say so I can stay under the radar so dad doesn't get mad at me." I asked in a panicing kind of way. "Just say your name is Ariana Thompson and your there on behalf of the zodiacs to pay there respects to him for his noble actions." Mr. Bean says with a smile on his face. "Fine I'll do that but what if-" "Aria, the meeting is taking longer then it should so you will have to wait for a while longer ok hun?" Dad asks me. "Sure dad. Just take your time I'm not going anywhere." I smiled at him, holding the picture of me and brother behind my back. "Okay then, love you kid." He smiled at me. "Love you too dad." I smiled back at him as he walks back into the conference room. "Okay I'll go, but I'm only gonna be there for 20 minutes tops." I look back and Mr. Bean as his smile starts to get bigger. 1

"Of course Aria. 20 minutes is all you need to be there for because I don't think you father will be in there longer than 30 minutes, so run along. You better hurry before anyone notices your gone and this plan backfires. Now go on, and stay hidden!" Mr. Bean hands me a black wig and a pair of glasses and rushed me out and heads into the conference room to do whatever they called him in for.
