Kiora pov

I stare at the wall while i wait for the bell to ring for the end of school.I fucking hate it here i have no friends, i'm mute and kids pick on me for being what you would call a prodigy.

Most of the people here think i'm a weird alien or something fucking idiots.

*Bell rings loudly*

I relax and rush out the classroom to my locker so i can drive myself back home.As i walk to my car i see a new boy walking into school he was kinda cute actually.

I brush it off and just go back to my empty small apartment.I lay on my couch and stare at the picture i have of my family they disowned me when I stopped trying to talk.

Kane's pov

I'm happy i was told to come after school to enroll most of the hallways were empty and i could get an explanation for my classes.

I'm kinda smart so most of them were advanced placement classes.My mom and i just moved here along with my baby sister to start a new life.

My name is Kane Smith i'm what you call a pretty boy with excellent grades and a horrible temper.I get in trouble a lot and have done things i'm not proud of but i can live with them.

I sadly start school tomorrow which is a Friday i find that stupid. After enrolling and taking care of my classes i just go back home to babysit and help my mom study for her masters degree.

Shes in her last semester and is close to exams.Im very proud of her.Eventually i put my sister to sleep and doze off myself.

*The next day*

I wake up at 6:30 am great just fucking great.I went to take a shower got ready and dressed and took my little sister to her school left a note for my mom and made her breakfast.

After i dropped off my little sister i still had thirty minutes left before school so i went to waffle house for a bit to chill out and get waffles of course.

Once i was seated there was a table of girls and two of them had cheerleader outfits with my schools mascot and name.

One of the girls came over and sat down."Hey aren't you that new kid that came after school yesterday?",she said eye raping me.

"Yuh why",my voice came out deep."I think your cute you should hang out with me sometime",i rolled my eyes."i'm good thanks",i got my stuff and left her ass right there.

There was three problems with that situation.One she was the preppy mean girl you see in movies and her voice was annoying. Two she seemed like a whore. Three she was not my damn type.

As i got to school i saw this really pretty petite girl with curly hair.Got damn she was fine.Sadly i had to go to the office to shadow a student for the day.

Low and behold the person i have to shadow is the girl from earlier."Kiora this is Kane he's gonna follow you for the day because you have most of the same schedule and i want him to get a feel for the school.",the principal said.

Kiora what a pretty name for her.She nodded at the principal and started to leave so i followed.Well she's quiet.i start talking,"So what do you like to do?".

She didn't answer i kept asking her questions but she said nothing."How come you aren't talking?",she looked up to me then simply looked back down fidgeting she wrote down on a piece of paper.

"I don't speak i'm mute.Im sorry.",i look back up at her with a small smile she looks sad.I whisper for her to give me her phone.

After i give it back i text her.

She looked back up at me and smiled harder than before.As we walked i could tell her mood changed and she was happier than before yea she might be my new best friend.

Hopefully more than that.
