Kane pov

I held the small of her back opening the front door for her. My little sister wasn't here but my mom ran from the dining room to hug Ki.

"Well damn ma ion get a hug. I'm ya son",Ki giggled and stuck out her tongue. They text each other a lot. But i didn't know they got that close so quick.

I hear foot steps. "Nepheww!",my aunt cece yells loud as fuck giving me the tightest hug i've ever had. My aunt J waited to dap me up.

J is moms sister and cece is J's wife. I explained all of this to Ki already so she wouldn't be confused if they kiss or some.

"Hi i'm Kiora",she signed to my aunts. J shook her hand squarely. Cece just stared at her like she was a walking lobster.

(The entire time Ki speaks she is doing sign language she is not actually speaking through her mouth)

Well alrighty then. I cough slightly,"Ok well dinner is done already how about we go into the living room and chat".

I pull out her chair so we can seat. J pulls out cece chair. "What are your intentions with my nephew?", I chuckle.

"Make him happy",Ki smiles. "Where you from?", damn my aunt my actually grill her. "I'm from Here",i went and grabbed a bag of chips.

Thirty minutes later

We were eating Alfredo. It had shrimp and crab meat in it. "Mom this is the best thing i've ever eaten in my life",she chuckles and says thank you.

My aunts were warming up to Ki. Cece kept asking her questions i mean my mom is loaded. And i'm runner up to take over the pin.

I see why she's suspicious of how Ki came into my life. "Do you know what him and his momma do for a living",aunt cece stared dead at Ki.

I spit out the water in my mouth. Mom started choking on her crab meat. Ki nods her head no. My and mom staring cece down.

"Now C you know damn well you shouldn't have said that shit",J spoke up in the sudden silence. They were both informed that i didn't tell Ki.

How do you tell someone your father was a king pin and died in a drive by and your mom now runs it while you help.

Imagine how insane that shit sounds coming out of your new friends mouth. I mean i'd have to tell her eventually but damn.

"What's the big deal? What did she mean Kane?",Ki signed to me questions. "Well alright mom dinner was great happy to see you guys we best be going and i'll take a big bowl to go".

Mom was scowling at Cece. J was whispering sorry to me. I got all our stuff and got and me and Ki out of the house and into the car.

The ride was silent the entire way to the house. She didn't hum and i didn't sing. The windows were up and i barely even heard either of us breathing.

My heart was beating hard. I was mad at my aunt cause it wasn't her place to say shit about what me and my mom do.

I turned off my truck helped her out and got us in the house locking up the doors. I went and ran her a shower and got her onesie out.

After she got out i went in and put my onesie on too. "Kane",I looked over to her. My eyes wide as hell. She didn't sign she spoke.
