"Hey, Mr. Stark!"
Tony Stark did not scream when Peter Parker dropped down in front of his desk suddenly from the roof with no warning from him or FRIDAY. He didn't. He could not. Would not. There was no way.
(He did, but that information didn't need to leave the room)
Only when Peter was done stifling his laughter, both at Tony's reaction and at his withering glare, did he actually step up beside the man to look over the holographic desktop he was manipulating.
"Whatcha' doing?"
"After that stunt? None of your business." Peter snorted again, before pouting at Tony, his childlike features making him incredibly powerful with puppy dog eyes. Tony didn't last long. He sighed. "Knock next time, kid. I'm sending an email."
When he looked closer, he could indeed see that Tony was writing an incredibly short and casual email to SHIELD. (Help me idk how this works) Peter leaned in to read it over, but Tony quickly shut it down. They both hated when people read over their shoulders and they both were hypocrites.
"What's it about?" Peter was gaining on Tony, but Ironman still had a few inches on the child and had to look down into his eyes. He turned away, pulling up the email again. Peter averted his eyes this time and sat, fidgeting with his fingers on the desk.
"If you must know, it's a kid we've had our eyes on for a while. He's older than you, still in his early twenties. We've been trying to confirm whether or not he has some kind of power, and he does. We're getting ready to recruit and I'm just sorting out some logistics."
Peter's face lit up like a kid at Christmas. (He was a kid and it was almost Christmas, so that was a fair comparison.) "Cool! When is he coming?"
Tony couldn't help but smile as well when he turned back to the holographic screen. He couldn't help it. The kid was infectious. "If he agrees, that would be in two days."
"And what's his name?"
"Um, Thomas Sanders, I think."
Peter froze so quickly that Tony was scared for a moment. Very slowly, he turned to Tony, his eyes sparkling with the light of the tech in the room. Disbelief was written across his face.
"No. Freaking. Way."

"No. Freaking. Way."
Thomas hadn't meant to let Roman take the controls on that little outburst. Honestly, he wasn't sure if that was Roman, considering that the thing he was geeking out about was the high-tech elevator they were riding in. He could practically feel Logan buzzing with anticipation inside of his head. He loved that his logic was excited, he really was, but now he understood why he let his sides communicate for control. Logan -bless his heart- was giving Thomas a migraine. He did not need to analyze every little piece of tech that they came across.
Calm down, geek squad. You're going to drive us crazy.
Geek Squad? Really? That was the best you could come up with?
It was pretty lame, Razzle Dazzle.
Now, guys, I'm sure Logan is just excited. We all are! Just remember, Kiddo, let's make our decisions as a team!
Thomas begged the voices in his head to argue a little quieter as the elevator dinging for the top floor. The AI echoed in the hallway.
"If you turn the corner, Mr. Sanders, you'll find you have quite the welcome committee." said her cool voice. Thomas took a shaky breath. Virgil was practically screaming at this point and the soothing voices of Patton and Emille or the excited yammering of Logan (rare and new experience) and Roman (a lot more common) could do nothing to calm his anxiety.
