PROLOGUE

Boom!

"Por pabor, it hurt so bad!" Daing ko habang hinihimas ang aking pwet. Kinapos yung pinagtagpi-tagpi kong kumot. I can't believe I just miscalculated something as trivial as that.

Hindi ko na lamang ininda ang aking nararamdaman at dali-daling kumilos. Kinuha ko ang aking bag at isinukbit ito sa aking balikat. It’ll be troublesome if someone caught me here. Just thinking about that hurts my head.

Dali-dali kong tinungo ang blind spots ng CCTV camera at agad-agad na tinalon ang bakod palabas sa impyernong 'to. This shit is everything but simple. If only I didn't have to go through this just to get the hell out of this rotten place.

"Annoying," I muttered under my breath as I made my move.

Inambahan ko ito, at bakas ang gulat sa kaniyang mata nang magsalubong ang aming paningin. Wrong move for you, buddy.

Walang pagdawang-isip kong hinayaang maglakbay sa kaniyang katawan ang dagger na hawak-hawak ko. I teased him for a while before tuluyan itong itarak sa kaniyang tagiliran.

"Lady A—" was the last word he muttered before falling on his knees. Terror, agony, and confusion were written on his face.

I twisted the dagger deeper before pulling it out. He’s barely breathing. Still, I don't feel any remorse nor sympathy.

I made a mess. Blood was scattered everywhere. I amended his sins. I ended his misery, in an indecent manner.

"Rest in peace," I whispered in the air before tuluyang tinahak ang daan palayo sa pinangyarihan.
