The Trickster And The Maiden

Chapter 1

Liyah: *walks with the other ladies in waiting*
Loki: *is walking down the hall with his hands behind his back and he is walking in the opposite direction*
Liyah: *sees him* "Loki?"
Loki: *he looks up* "Liyah? Hello"
Liyah: "Hello Loki! How are you?"
Loki: "I'm well, I'm fine. How are you? Come with me" *he gestures her to walk with him*
Liyah: *tells the ladies in waiting* "I'll be back as soon as I can" *now goes to him* "Okay!" *smiles and walks with him* "I should've bowed and said Your Highness I'm sorry" *chuckles in embarrassment*
Loki: "You're excused" *he chuckles too* "How have you been?"
Liyah: "I'm doing good" *smiles* "I should thank you for helping me find work...thank you Loki"
Loki: "Of course. Happy to help. And it's been going well for you so far? I've yet to hear any complaints"
Liyah: "It's actually hard work but I like it" *smiles* "Oh good that there's no complaints" *chuckles*
Loki: *he chuckles too* "We should catch up some time. Perhaps you would be interested in joining me for dinner this evening?"
Liyah: "I would love to join you!" *smiles* "Almost just like old times" *chuckles*
Loki: "Almost" *he agrees with a smile* "I'll see you in the dining hall at 6:30"
Liyah: "See you then" *smiles and waves as she goes*

*Dinner At 6:30*
Loki: *is standing inside waiting at the dining hall*
Liyah: *she comes in wearing a nice looking dress* "Hello Loki" *smiles*
Loki: "Thank you for coming. Have a seat" *he smiles, he uses his magic to pull her chair back for her as he sits, and it moves up to the table when she sits*
Liyah: "Oh!" *gets a little surprised* "I almost forgot about your magic" *chuckles*
Loki: "Haha, it is one of my defining traits. Perhaps it's been too long" *he teases lightly*
Liyah: "Maybe" *chuckles* "The last time we got together like this was when you invited me to eat with you and Thor when we were children"
Loki: "Too long for sure" *he begins to eat*
Liyah: "Definitely" *eats too* "Can I be honest?"
Loki: "Of course"
Liyah: "I'm very disappointed with how Thor turned out...He was always in the spotlight and showing off...I know I shouldn't be disrespectful with how his future will turn out but how can I when he tries to get with all of the ladies here?"
Loki: *he shakes his head* "My brother is...focused on himself. Simple as that. I fear for how that will affect the kingdom in the future"
Liyah: "Me too...You know he tried to get with me?...He forgot about me and he was very surprised when I told him who I was that he actually backed off quickly from me"
Loki: "It's embarrassing"
Liyah: "Very...It made me feel disgusted...I'm sorry I shouldn't talk more disrespect...but I always figured you'd be the next King"
Loki: "I should be the next king" *he says a bit forcefully before taking a breath*
Liyah: "I'm sorry I spoke out of turn and upset you" *goes to him and rubs his arm for comfort*
Loki: *he sighs* "It's alright. Thank you. My brother is far too prideful to be a responsible king. That much is clear already"
Liyah: "Very clear...You're more kingly than him" *smiles and realizes what she's doing and blushes* "Forgive me...I still haven't gotten the chance to change my habits...I would always comfort you like this when we were kids and this would be the only way to calm you down" *chuckles*
Loki: "I remember. I'm fine with it." *he breathes in and out* "I do love my brother, but it is unfortunate that he is the firstborn instead of me"
Liyah: "I understand" *nods then after a bit rubs his arm one more time* "Well let's finish dinner! Let's not have this delicious food go to waste!" *smiles to cheer him up and goes back to sit and finish eating* "It's really good to see you Loki...I admit I missed seeing you and being around you like back then"
Loki: "It's good to see you too Liyah. I'm glad to see you again" *he smiles*
Liyah: "Me too" *smiles*
*After They Finish Eating*
Liyah: "Mmm I'm very full...You really have the most delicious food in the whole kingdom!" *chuckles*
Loki: *he chuckles* "Anything for my esteemed guest"
Liyah: "Esteemed?...I'm only a servant with the ladies in waiting...I don't deserve such a high praise like that" *chuckles again*
Loki: "Well, you're MY esteemed guest tonight" *he chuckles and specifies, finishing his drink*
Liyah: *smiles and blushes* "Well thank you Loki...It's really also the best wine in the whole kingdom, it's delicious!" *smiles and finishes her wine* "Is this...the vintage we tried when we were younger that we got in trouble for?"
Loki: "It comes from the same cellar" *he laughs*
Liyah: "No!" *laughs* "Oh we both got such a HUGE scolding for that!"
Loki: "I recall. But it was delicious nonetheless"
Liyah: "Yes it was and still is" *smiles* "Oh! Remember the time where you rained almost like a waterfall on Thor when we were kids? I feel bad but it was so hilarious that I laughed so hard!" *laughs* "You have to tell me how you did that with your magic and where you got that huge amount of water!" *chuckles*
Loki: *he laughs* "A magician never reveals his secrets" *he smiles*
Liyah: "Aw!" *laughs* "Well I hope we can get together more like this with just the two of us...I enjoyed tonight and being around your company again...Only if you have time I mean!" *blushes in embarrassment* "Sorry it's hard to get used to this new how to properly be around royals rules"
Loki: "Don't worry about them with me" *he smiles and stands* "We'll make the time"
Liyah: "Thank you" *smiles and stands too* "There's so many new rules to learn that it's almost overwhelming"
Loki: "I suppose it'd be more difficult for you, not being born into them" *he says as he walks over*
Liyah: "It is...but I'll continue to do the best of my abilities" *smiles*
Loki: "You'll be fine. But never forget what I always say: rules were made to be broken" *he smirks*
Liyah: "Oh I remember your motto!" *laughs*
Loki: *he laughs too* "Good good. You can keep that in mind whenever you're around me"
Liyah: *chuckles* "I will" *smiles*
Loki: *he smiles back and puts his hand on her cheek*
Liyah: *gets surprised and looks at him while blushing* "Loki?"
