A raven haired, blue-eyed, young man raced through the hallway at Gotham Academy, adjusting his tie and buttoning up his uniform sweater, as he was trying to make it to Chemistry Class. Hearing the bell ring, he curses under his breath as he goes up the stairs, and finish running down the hallway, he does this until he turns to the right and is greeted by Ms. Flanagan Chemistry Room.

"Nice of you to join us Mr. Grayson." She says looking down at her papers.

Nodding he made his way to his seat next to a girl with caramel skin and copper curly hair. "How did you make it to school?"

Barbara Gordon shrugged, "Oh I don't know, got home late, set an alarm, then set another alarm, had my dad threatened to take away my computer."

Dick rolled his eyes, and she continued, "Oh and a huge cup of coffee, that really helped."

"Are you seriously not sore though?" He asked, not taking out his laptop.

She turned away from her own laptop, "I can't feel my legs, but I don't want to raise any questions."

"Nobody, even--"

Ms. Flanagan cuts him off but asks him, "Grayson, If Nitric acid chemical: 1.612 x 1010 pounds were produced in 1992. What would the density of nitric acid be, 12.53 pounds per gallon, what volume would be occupied by this quantity?

Thinking for a moment he calls out, "4.870 x 109 liters."

Smirking, the teacher signed, "That is correct," after writing it on the board, she looked around the classroom, "Celia-Chen, take off your headphones."

"Myaella Celia-Chen, take off your headphones!" The teacher repeats this time in a harsher tone.

A tall dark skinned male by the name of Lucas Fox, sitting next to her, shakes her shoulders. The Asian girl slightly jumps and tugs the headphones down from her head to her shoulders. "Sorry, Ms. Flangaon."

"Now that you've returned to this planet, can you answer-"

Dick turned his head away and looked at his own computer, finishing the worksheet they were supposed to be doing, he looked at the top articles coming out of the Gotham Globe and Gotham Gazette. There had been a spike in criminal activity, specifically in East Side and Bowery area. Which really surprised no one because their normal levels of criminal activity makes Sterling City look like a safe haven. But these cases were weird, of course, to anyone else this just looks like a robbery, but for a secret crime fighter, they know this is a location where Bertinelli do their business. Dick wondered if something was going down, and the so called robbers, which were really getting in the middle. He looked over at Barbara, who was doing her own thing. He had a quick reminder that she, to him, was the most beautiful girl on this planet. Of course she'd be upset if he said that to her, claiming that his affection came out of objectifying her, but it wasn't just her beauty that he admired; her need to help people, her dedication to crime fighting, and her overall being made him melt inside.

The bell rang, and they continued on to their next two classes. Now it's lunch, Barbara Gordon took her seat next to Dick with her school lunch, and Lucas Fox on his other side. Dick took out his homemade lunch, courtesy of Alfred Pennyworth. And Barbara Gordon quickly snatches one of his cookies.

"Really?" Lucas Fox takes another one, leaving Dick with only one. "Wow thanks guys."

Lucas munches it down, "My dad said they're starting to accept applications for the internship at Wayne Enterprises for students."

Dick takes a bite out of his sandwich, "Yea, Bruce says he wants to scout out new talent, and he does it every year."

"You think of submitting for it, Luke?" Barbara asked, adding to the conversation.
