Calum:
"Are you almost done yet?" Cal whined, while knocking on your bedroom door.
"Almost," you replied. Today was the night the festival began, and Cal was getting impatient. You finally opened the door, and you were mentally drooling over the sight of him. He was wearing a muscle tee, and of course, black skinny jeans. You liked him, but Cal was your best friend since forever, and you didn't want to ruin the friendship you already had. And he already had a girlfriend, Julie.
"Let's go!" he said, while practically pulling you out of the house. When you first got there, you guys decided to go on all of the rides first, and Cal wasn't joking when he said all. The last ride was the one you most dreaded. It was that love tunnel ride, where you get in with another person (most of the time your boyfriend/girlfriend).
"Hey! Do you think we can just skip this ride?" you asked him nervously.
"Come on y/n! Just one more ride, please?" he asked.
"Oh God, no! Not the puppy dog eyes! And the pout?!" you groaned. "Okay! Okay! Fine, but you have to buy me some funnel cake when we're done," you said, glaring at him. He just stood there and smiled like an idiot.
It's okay, you'll be fine. You thought. Take a deep breath, and exhale. The ride just started and you were already a nervous wreck! Just great!
You felt something warm grasping your hand. You turned your head to the culprit, who was none other than Calum Hood. He wore a worried expression. You smiled at him, to show that you were okay. He smiled back. You turned your attention back to the ride. There were Cupids hanging from the top of the dimly lighted ride, and pink and red hearts everywhere.
"C-cal?" you stuttered. Oh great! Now you're stuttering!
"Ya? What's wrong?" he said while looking straight into your eyes.
"There's something I need your advice on." You tore away from his gaze. "Okay.... there's this guy.. that I like, and I'm not sure if I should confess to him, because it might ruin the friendship I already have. What do you think I should do?" He had a frown on his face.
"You have crush on someone?" he questioned.
"Y-y-ya."
"Do I know this person?"
"Ya, you know him pretty well."
"Is it Luke?" he asked, his frown deepening.
"No, but I still need your advice."
"I think that you should tell the guy." He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.
I'll tell him after the ride ends. You thought. The ride was over, after a few more minutes. As soon as you guys stepped out of the cart, Cal started quickly walking towards his awaiting girlfriend. Now is your chance!
"Hey!" you yelled, trying to get his attention. He whipped his head towards you direction. You saw him telling Julie something before jogging over to you.
"What's up?"
"Well, we were talking on the ride about how I should tell the guy I like him, right?"
"Umm... yeah. Didn't I say yes to that question?"
"So I'm gonna be honest and say... I like you." His eyes widened.
"Wh-wha-what?" he stuttered.
"I knew this was a bad idea. Okay, just forget everything I just told you," you told him.
"What?! No! I can't do that!"
"And why is that?"
"Because I like you too!" You stood there, frozen from shock. "I've liked you for a while now, but never had the guts to tell you 'cos I thought that you wouldn't feel the same."
"Shit!!!What about Julie??"
"I'll probably just leave her." As soon as Calum said that, Julie walked over.
"Fuck," I said under my breath.
"Hey, Cal! Me and the rest of the group are thinking about going to the beach now. You should go with us," she said excitedly.
"You should go... your friends are waiting," you said quietly, whilst turning and walking away.
"Wait!" he yelled. You turned back around.
"Julie... I'm breaking up with you. I thought that I could get over y/n by dating you, but it didn't work." Julie looked like she was about to explode.
"I HOPE YOU AND YOUR BITCH HAVE A NICE LIFE!" she screamed at him. Cal smirked.
"Oh, we will. And Y/N isn't a bitch, you are." With that, she stomped away with tears streaming down her face. Cal grabbed your hand and intertwined your fingers.
"I should buy you your funnel cake now," he said. You laughed at how fast he got over his fight with his ex-girlfriend, and he pulled you towards the food stand.

A/N: Okay! How was preference 1? I know, it was pretty bad. I'm gonna add a Michael to this one soon, so be on a look out for it
