bebe:
You woke up one sunny Saturday morning to your phone ringing. You grabbed the device off of your bedside table, groaned, and pressed the green answer button.

"Hello?" you answered the call even though you were mostly asleep. When you picked your phone up, you didn't even bother to check who the caller was.

"Morning sleeping beauty," a warm familiar voice cooed from the other line, "it's almost eleven."

"Hey, Bebe."

"Get up and ready, I'm picking you up in an hour."

You rubbed your eyes and rolled over.

"As you wish," you stretched and let out a groan, "you're so lucky that I would do anything for you.

"You're such a dork. See you in an hour. Love ya."

"Love," you said and hung up. It wasn't unusual for your girlfriend to show up to your home unannounced. When she thought of a fun activity to do with you, she would suddenly show up at your doorstep with no warning,

You finished doing your makeup when you heard your mother call you downstairs.

"Y/n!! Bebe is here!"

You added some accessories to your look for a ~special~ touch and walked down stairs. You heard Bebe's bubbly laugh and your mother picking up conversation with your girlfriend. You went to Bebe, who was now sitting at your dining room table, and hugged her from behind. While you buried your face in between your girlfriend's neck and shoulders, your mom smiled and took a sip of her morning coffee.

"I'm surprised you were able to get Y/n out of bed before noon!"

Bebe smiled and patted your head, "You're just as surprised as I am. We have reservations at Cafe Monet for brunch in about thirty minutes so we should probably get going."

The two of you got up and walked out the door. When you got into Bebe's ruby red VW Beetle, you gave her a proper "hi how are you" kiss.

"So what's the special occasion," You asked as you propped your feet up on the dashboard.

"Well, my dad is out on a business trip and my mom was moping around the house all bored and stuff. She proposed that we should have brunch so she could finally meet you," Bebe responded as she flipped her blinker on.

"Dude, I love you so much but I need to mentally prepare before I meet someone's parents," You exhaled and picked at your fingers nervously.

Bebe laughed and reached out her hand, "Sorry for springing this on you so fast. I'll make it up to you, don't worry."

She pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. The two of you saw Mrs. Stevens sitting on the patio of the restaurant. She waved at the car and Bebe smiled back. You two walked hand and hand to the table where her mom sat.

"I'm so excited to be brunching with my daughter and her darling little girlfriend! Hashtag: feeling blessed and highly favored!" Mrs. Stevens squealed as she took a snapshot of her menu with the two of you in the background. Bebe smiled at you and rolled her eyes, but you just giggled to yourself. You could tell Mrs. Steven's tried super hard to be the cool mom.

"I already ordered us mimosas, they're bottomless!" Mrs. Stevens sang as she dug for something in her purse.

"Well, tap me out at two because I still have to drive Y/n back home," Bebe said as she grazed her finger across the menu.
