Ten spent the next few days crying, wondering what he had done wrong. Although Bambam had assured him that he did absolutely nothing wrong, he couldn't help but feel like he wasn't enough.

Even three weeks after the breakup, Ten was still overthinking the smallest things that had happened between him and Kun during their relationship. When Kun would go into their shared bedroom with his phone and tell Ten to leave him alone, was it because of that Winwin kid? Or when he would "work late", was that just him meeting up with Winwin?

Bambam's heart ached for his best friend. It pained him to see Ten in such a state. He hadn't seen him this emotionally wrecked in years and he did not want another situation like that one.

When he finally started moving on, Bambam couldn't help but be relieved. The last time Ten had gotten so emotional, he almost ended his own life. Luckily he talked to his best friend about it and they got some help. Ten hadn't thought about suicide in years and he was doing a lot better.

"I think I finally want to go to college," Ten blurted out, one Sunday evening. Bambam eyes widened. "What? Are you serious?" Ten nodded. "I obviously need a distraction from everything that's happened and we've been saying that we need to go anyway, so why not now?" His logic was flawless.

Bambam couldn't help but agree. "Okay. Did you figure out which one yet," he needed to make sure Ten was completely ready for this. College was a big step in their lives and it would be stressful for both of them.

"I did. I've been looking into different colleges and since I want to be a dance major, I've been looking at different performing arts schools. So far SM, YG, and JYP have the best dance programs. I did some research on their music programs too and apparently they have some of the best music programs in the country." Bambam was in shock. Ten was more serious about this than he though.

Ten continued. "I went a little further and looked up different news articles on them. YG is known to mistreat its students and JYP is known for being sexist. SM has a history with mistreating foreign students, but as long as we don't draw too much attention to ourselves we should be fine. Basically, overall, SM is probably the best arts college for us. If you want to go, that is."

"Are you kidding Ten? If you're going, I'm going too. You're my best friend and we promised to stay by each other's sides no matter what," Bambam said, shocked that Ten would think, even for a minute, that he would have to go without him.

A smile lit up Ten's face, the first one in almost a month. "I'll apply for both of us then," he replied.

He was about to hug the boy in front of him but remembered his dislike of skinship. So he stretched out his arms, the question unspoken but clear. When his best friend nodded, Ten smiled even bigger and hugged him as tight as he could without hurting the boy in his arms.

A sigh escaped his lips. "I love you, Mookie", Ten said, the old nickname sliding off his tongue in a way that seemed so natural to them both. Bambam giggles and only said "I love you too, Phonnie."
