"Do you know what the 5 step exercise is?" Ten shook his head. Exercise? I get that he's ripped but now's not the time.
"Okay, I'll walk you through it. Name five things you can see." Oh. "The-the couch, you, uh.... the TV, the floor, and um my shoes," he whispered, tripping over his words and trying not to stutter.
"Four things you can touch." He took a deep breath. "The couch again, my hoodie," he hugged himself trying to bring any comfort to himself. "The pillow, and my sketchbook." He gestured to the sketchbook that lay on the table forgotten. "That's good, I'm proud of you. Three things you can hear."
Ten felt slightly calmer at the small amount of praise. "Your voice, my breathing, and the loudass bitches outside." He glared towards the door as the man crouching in front of him laughed. "What are two things you can smell? You're almost done, I promise."
Ten took a second to think before saying, "Food and uh... your cologne." "Last one. What's one thing you can taste?" The man reached into his pocket and pulled out a small packet of gummies, handing them to the boy in front of him. Ten tore open the package and popped a yellow gummy in his mouth. "This gummy," he said, a small smile on his face.
The man in front of him smiled. "Good job." He put his hand on the boy's shoulder gently. "Feel any better?" Ten nodded, his mouth currently full of gummies. "Thank you," he mumbled. "Any time. I wouldn't want my new roommate to think I was a jerk, now would I?"
Ten's head shot up. "You're my roommate?" The man shrugged. "I would assume so, considering this is room 042 and that's the room I've been assigned."
"Oh.... well then I should probably introduce myself. I'm Ten," he said, sticking his hand out for a handshake. The man smiled and shook the hand, "Wonho. Nice to meet you." "It's nice to meet you too."

Once the boys had picked their rooms, Ten volunteered to make some food while they got to know each other a little better.
"What's your major," Wonho asked as Ten dumped the seasoning packets into the pot. "Well obviously music," Ten laughed a little. "My major is dance."
"Really? Mine is too. We might have a couple classes together." Wonho reached into his back pocket and pulled out his schedule. Ten grabbed his off the island and handed it to the taller man.
"Math, chemistry, and modern dance. That's it," Wonho announced. Ten's face dropped slightly at the thought of having 5 classes without someone familiar. Wonho must have noticed because he set the schedules down and said, "You'll be fine Ten. I'm sure everyone else is just as nervous as you are."
Ten nodded. Wonho was right. He'd be fine. "Thanks Wonho." "Of course."

(a/n: double update?! wow the author really loves you. haha i do love you guys tho. thanks for sticking with me during my hiatus. the five step exercise section was inspired by a real conversation between me and my now-best friend. we were sitting in music class and we weren't sitting super close to each other so it was over text. and yes, the gummy part actually happened. she pulled the packet out of her pocket and threw it to me. so, shout out to Jamison for being one of my favorite people.ff recommendations #5:
