SM had responded to their application letters almost immediately. Their acceptance letters came four days after they applied, saying they were expected in a month.

But it was two days until they would leave for college. Two days until they left their home country, possibly for good. Two days until they could restart with all new people.

Most people would be nervous. But not Ten. He was ecstatic. He loved the thought of no one knowing who he was. No one knowing his past or what he was like. New people, new scenery, a new school.

Bambam, on the other hand, was nervous as hell. He was leaving Thailand for the first time in his life. He was leaving everything he knew and loved behind. But he was bringing the one thing he couldn't live without with him: his best friend. So he knew everything would be fine.

Ten had insisted on packing two weeks prior, so that they would be certain they hadn't forgotten anything. So there their bags sat, next to the front door.

They were leaving their furniture behind as they had decided they would be living in a dorm on campus. Unfortunately, they couldn't get a room together. But on the bright side, they would have opportunities to make new friends as soon as they set foot on campus.

They had gotten their schedules and while they only shared three classes, they also had their lunch period together, so they would be able to communicate throughout the day.

"Ten?" Bambam shouted across the house, needing to ask the question that had been weighing down on him for almost two weeks now. When he heard the older's shout, he realized it would be better to ask in the same room as him.

He walked to the kitchen where Ten was preparing dinner. Ten turned to look at his best friend, knowing whatever he wanted to say was important. "What is it, Mookie?" Ten could tell something was wrong by the way Bambam was biting his lip and fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

"Are you scared? To go to college I mean?" You could hear the uncertainty dripping from his words. Ten's face visibly softened when he heard the anxiousness in the younger's voice.

"Maybe a little. But I'm more excited than scared. Yes, it's completely unfamiliar but we'll be fine as long as we have each other."

Ten's words seemed to calm the boy down. "You're right. I'm being stupid," he laughed. "No, Bam, you're not. Being scared of change is natural," Ten assured him. "Besides, you'll have me by your side."

Bambam smiles at the thought of him and Ten staying up late doing homework together and then being tired all the next day. "You're right. What could go wrong?"

(a/n: hey guys! i'm back with another update of Boy in Luv. if you haven't noticed yet, the title is the same as one of my favorite BTS songs. BTS' Boy in Luv was released in 2014 and is my personal favorite of all their songs. i'm not an ARMY anymore, as i fell out of the fandom back in November, but i still support them and listen to some of their older songs.
