The Girl Who Cried Wolf

chapter 4

I had to leave Rylers office unfortunately. I immediately missed his warmth and I was debating going back into his office and just sitting in his arms. I knew he wouldn't be able to resist wanting me back in his arms, but I decided against it. 

I walked outside of his castle. I suddenly feel the cool air on arms and Naya wants to shift urgently. I stood in the middle of the forest, took off my clothes and was going to shift. But first I thought back to the idea of me and Ryler shifting earlier and thought of his excuse. I laughed because it was just that, an excuse. It was probably about 8 o'clock, and because of it almost being fall, the heat was just starting to die down. I shifted into my small amber wolf. I was small in wolf form and no bigger than a german shepard. While this may seem big, most wolves tower well over me at 4-5 FEET tall. I was very small. 

I let Naya take control as we started running. Our paws met with the earthy dirt and it felt amazing between our toes. We felt the fresh air in our fur and we smelled the smell of the forest. It was so invigorating. It was amazing. We were running for like 5 minutes until we reached a small lake. Naya decided to wade in the water and try and catch fish. After a couple of minutes we swim in the water. 

'Hey princess. Where are you baby?' I here Rylers worried voice as I immediately answer him while Naya is still catching and releasing fish. 

'Hi Ryler, don't be mad but Naya still wanted to go on a run so we decided to go on one. We are near a small lake only about 5-10 minutes away from the castle.' I said anticipating that he would still be mad. To my surprise he wasn't.

'Okay Zenith really wants to run. We will be there soon. I love you.: The link closes after as we wade out of the water. Naya decides she wants to stand in what's left of the sun to dry off. 

Soon we hear a menacing growl from behind us. Naya turns around swiftly and is immediately seen by three big wolves. She smells the air and does not recognize the scent. Even if they were pack members, Rylers scent had washed off in the lake.

They keep moving forward and Naya back until she is backed up behind a tree. One of the wolves release a menacing growl and snaps at her throat. Naya immediately dodges the attack but is met with a bite to the leg. Suddenly the big brown wolf claws her side. SHe yelps in pain.

'Ryler.....help' was all I could say. Suddenly my mates howl fills the air. Naya's blood is all over the ground as she starts to lose the fight. But then a large growl rips through the air. This time she recognizes it. 

Mate is here to save us, Harper. Was all Naya said. We watch as the three once fighting wolves get torn to pieces in front of us. We watch as Ryler rips them all to shreds. He shifts back once they are all unmoving and makes his way to Naya.

"Hey princess, can you shift back please" he says and it almost sounds as if he's- crying...?

I shift back and and met immediately engulfed in a hug.

"I'm so sorry i didn't get to you in time love." Ryler states as he puts his nose into my neck and starts kissing me all over. He suddenly looks down at my side. Three huge gash marks were their and I was bleeding everywhere.

"They are lucky all the got was death" he spit. Instinctively, I put my hand up to his face to calm him down. He immediately relaxes under my hand. 

"I'm going to shift so I can lick your wounds okay? It might hurt love but it will help." he says that then immediately shifts to zeniths black fur. His wolf probably stands over six feet tall. His piercing blue eyes still stay with him as he looks me in the eye. 

'might hurt a little bit' was a fucking understatement. As soon as his skin made contact with my wounds, sering pain was produced throughout my body. I held in my sobs as tears fell from my eyes, then the pain was replaced with relief as the saliva started to work. As soon as he was done, Iayed where I was on the ground and zenith snuggled next to me.

"Hey boy" my voice was really hoarse from the pain subsiding, "I love you, thank you for saving me." I heard Zenith start to purr as his voice filled my head.

"I love you too." his deep voice spoke, filled with love and passion. It was at this point that I fully remembered that I was nude. I squealed and quickly shifted back while letting Naya take control. When Naya snuggled next to Zenith, that's when I noticed the difference in height, let alone weight. I was only about 2 feet tall and he was about 6-7 feet tall. Zeniths body was wrapped around Naya and then Ryler had to ruin the fun againnnnn.

"Hey princess we might want to get back to the castle now." his voice filled my head."

"you always ruin everything" zenith thought before licking Naya one more time.

"But i'm comfortable"Naya thought before trying to snuggle back into Zenith.

"Zenith don't you wanna see where those filthy rouges came from so we can better protect her?" Ryler said this and immediately shifted. But Naya wasn't having it.

"I don't want too"Naya said and and plopped down. 

"Yeah I don't want to either because then you'll go, and work, and then no snuggle time. And you'll have to be with Parneet the entire time. So were comfortable right here." I added. 

"Princess, if you let Harper take over again, Ill make her shift later so I can just pet your fur." Ryler stated while starting to rub circles on Naya's coat behind her ears. 

And just like that, no warning or anything, Naya shifted me back so I was completely naked in front of my mate. 

"I-uhm shifted in the beginning of the forest so I don't have clothes here."I started looking down at the ground the whole time. 

"Its okay don't be embarrassed" Ryler said as he lifted my chin to meet his eyes. "One I love you and your body; and two, your not the only she-wolf that I've seen, the pack shifts in front of each other all the time." He looked like he regretted the second statement right after he said it. 

"What?? Why would you say that. The hell is wrong with you????" I said and I started stomping into the forest and back to the castle. 

"No I didn't mean it like that"  He called after me. 

'Too late' I thought as I started jogging through the forest. But of course he being an alpha, and the werewolf king, was the fastest werewolf. He caught up to me in a matter of seconds and tried to stop me by grabbing on to my shoulder. 

"What do you want" I scowled.

"I'm sorry love I didn't mean it like that" he said as he pulled me into a hug. I visibally relaxed under his scent. 

"That hurt my feelings. " I mumbled under my breath. "It wasn't my intention too baby." he said as he started to run his fingers through my hair. I breathed out sighing. He then grabbed my hand and we started to walk back to the castle. '
