Chapter 10: Truth

I GOT HER BUT I lost her too.

I don't know but it's been days since the last time we talked. We are not even together but we're not talking anymore.

I know that I saw this guy with that girl a couple of days ago and a lot! But I am tired of saying these things to her. She won't believe me anyway.

I breathed out when I knew that I heard the rain pouring out. I went out and peeked outside and it was raining cat and dogs.

Guess I'll stay here again instead of hanging out and chilling out at the park.

KNOCK KNOCK.

Who would go at this point? It's very rainy, oh my god.

I opened the door, "Yes?" I asked with an annoying tone but my eyes widened when I saw her very wet because of the rain. Her casual outfit was ruined and wet because of the rain.

She is looking down while she's hugging her own self with her arms.

At first, I got more annoyed because she showed up. What will she do? Fight for what's wrong? I'm tired.

Not until I heard her sniffing. Now that gave me a clue that she is crying. She looked at me and her eyes are puffy, her mascara was ruined, her whole face actually that was filled with makeup.

"I'm so sorry." She mumbles, "You are right and I am wrong."

FLASHBACKS.

"So you're telling me now, that you saw him with another girl?" She crossed her arms. "Oh wow, are you here to ruin our relationship?"

I know they've been together for three months now and she told me that those three months are full of love. Knowing the fact that we become close friends within those months since her boyfriend keeps on leaving and say that he always has a project in his subject. And it was a lie.

I went earlier at the grocery store to buy some snacks since Annie and I are going to hang out and decided to watch The Kissing Booth 2. I never want to watch it at first but anything for her, I would definitely do it. Just for her.

I saw Hayden and this another girl at the restaurant in front of the store I went to and saw them cuddling while listening to their friends which is in front of them. I could see them because of the glass.

And now I'm telling her this, and she won't believe me.

"I saw him, hanging out with another couple and they're basically in a double date. In front of the store I went to!" I fought back.

"I thought you will be the most caring best friend and you promised me that you won't break me down again like me other friends before. And you're basically doing it again!" She argued.

And that made me pissed off.

"Fine." I sighed, I was annoyed. I promised her that, and that's what I'm doing. "Find it out for yourself then." I placed the things down on the couch, "But next time, don't go after me and say that I'm right."

I finally left her apartment. I was very disappointed. I mean, yeah, she met Hayden first- actually no. I met Annie first, even though she is from my dreams, I still met her at the party. But I never got to know her.

Yeah right, I always lost her again.

"You got into a fight?" She placed her drink on the table and her eyes are fixed on mine. I slowly nodded, confirming.

"Hm, love quarrel?" Kenzie grins making my eyes rolled. I have no idea if we will hit at that point. Seems very complicated.

"Stop." I groaned. 

"I mean, you're not wrong though." Johnny joined the conversation, "Saw Hayden and this chick last week and I am planning to tell Annie but we're not that close. She might say I'm going to destroy her relationship with her boyfriend." He mentioned her boyfriend like a dirty spit.

"I mentioned this to Annie before." Kenzie began, "Well, she said Hayden would never do that to her because she knows that he truly loves her."

"Lie," I replied.

"She doesn't know about Hayden or what he truly is. Noah told her that." Kenzie added.

"She believed that Hayden's going to change for her." Johnny conjoined Kenzie's statement, "Probably because he courted Annie for months, like literally long."

"Why does he have to cheat?" Kenzie sighed.

"Playboy's job!" Johnny shrugs.

"He is a playboy." I answered, "What's the purpose though. I mean, tell her that you didn't love her and proceed. He's too immature to enter a relationship."

"There's always a backstory." Kenzie interrupted. "Remember, never judge a book by its cover."

And that left us on silent.

Heading back to the automobile, my eyes widened realising that time flies too fast that I didn't notice that my shirt was filled with coffee.

"Oh my God. I'm so so sorry." A feminine voice started stuttering.
