After having patched things up the day before, Paul now found himself very cheerful on his way to school. Hoping that he'd somehow get a chance to spend some more time with Maho. Though little did he know that she was thinking the exact same thing...
"Today is a another good day" He mused with a chuckle to himself as he strode down the street with a confident and eager smile on his face.
---Maho POV---
"Today I'm going to make it up to him..." Maho whispered as she looked back at herself in the mirror as she combed her hair and finished her preparations to go to school.
As she left her house she felt a wave of anxiety wash over her.
(Maho in head) "I just hope he wants to spend time with me after..." She thought, stopping in her tracks as she heard a familiar voice call out.
"Good morning Maho~"
"Hello Erika" She calmly replied starting to walk again as Erika followed along beside her.
"So what subjects do you have today?" Erika then asked starting the usual kind of conversation her and Maho might have together during their walk to school each day. But today was different, despite her calm and relaxed demeanor, on the inside Maho was petrified about what the outcome of her actions today would be. She knew she wanted to spend time with Paul and make up for yelling at him the other day, but perhaps she wanted even more...
These new feelings left her conflicted and not really present as Erika continued to speak as she stoically walked along, her expression barely changing as she stared off into the distance before her.
---Timeskip: Paul POV---
"Well that was gripping..." Paul muttered to himself as he packed up his things at the end of a lecture, his mind sort of going into an auto pilot mode as he put everything into his bag.
Due to this he wasn't really paying attention to what was going on around him, and due to this he failed to notice most of the people around him stop their chatter and clear away from him slightly.
It wasn't until he looked up and noticed everyone was seemingly in shock about something that a confused expression formed on his face.
"What did I do?" He asked in a sarcastic tone, noting that everyone had stepped away from him.
"Okay then..." he muttered softly as he turned around and slung his bag onto his shoulder still unsure as to what was going on.
Then as he turned around he noticed something...
"M-Maho?!" He asked loudly, his surprise getting the better of him.
This combined with everyone else's actions caused Maho's expression to change from just one of anxiousness and nervousness but to a dejected one. The last thing Paul saw of her face was it turning ever so slightly red as she turned around and started to run out out of the room and into the hallway.
"W-Wait!" Paul yelled out as he gripped his bag tightly and began to run after her.
---Timeskip---
"Maho!" He yelled out again as they reached the outside of the school building and were out near one of the sports fields. As they reached it Maho finally started to slow down, hugging her sides slightly as she slumped down under a nearby tree.
Paul took in a few deep breaths from the long run he'd just endured and laid his bag on the ground as he sat down and leant his back against the same tree so that he was basically opposite of Maho.
