As Maho hurriedly headed inside and to her room she quickly slid her door shut and put her school bag down, slipping off her shoes and jacket and trying to breath normally.
"Maho?" Her mother then spoke from just outside her room, "Come here please"
Maho took a deep breath and let out a sigh as she left her room.
"Yes Mother?"
"Who was that boy you were walking home with?"
"Just a friend from school" Maho quietly replied, using all of her discipline and willpower to not let on the truth of things.
"What about Erika? Don't you usually walk with her?"
"She was busy with Michael and Paul offered to walk with me"
"So you know him quite well then?"
"Yes, he just recently started at school and I showed him around"
"You know how I feel about you spending too much time with boys" Shiho said with a stern expression.
Maho let out a slight sigh as she replied, "Yes mother..."
"So I trust you will not be wasting anymore time with him from now on?"
"Y-Yes mother..." Maho responded with a stutter, this time letting some of her emotions get the better of her.
"Okay, you may return to your room now" Shiho added as Maho bowed slightly and turned around.
She hurried her pace as she entered her room, sliding the door behind her as she tentatively walked over to the bed. As she did she felt a strange feeling wash over her, something she hadn't really felt before.
Slowly she sat down on the bed, sniffling slightly before quickly raising a hand to wipe away a tear that had formed and slid down her face.
"What can I do..." She muttered softly as she hugged her sides tightly, a distraught expression covering her face.
---Timeskip---
"I'm not sure why though..." Paul muttered as he finished telling Erika what had happened as they walked between classes.
"It's probably nothing, maybe she just got really nervous for some reason" Erika responded, unsure herself given what Paul had told her.
"Maybe..."
---Michael POV---
"Hello?" Michael asked as he answered his phone, noting the caller.
"Miho?"
"Hey Michael, long time no speak eh?"
"That's true it has been a while. How have you been?" Michael asked as he closed his locker and began heading off to class.
"Very good thanks, how about you?"
"Not bad"
"I heard you got together with Erika~" Miho then teased.
"Yeah I did" He responded with a slight chuckle.
"I'm happy for you two~" Miho then added, "Erika and I might have had our differences but I'm glad you're both happy"
"Thanks. How about you Miho? Do you have someone?"
Miho giggled slightly as a confused expression formed on his face, "What?"
"There's someone I'm interested in~" Miho replied with a bashful tone.
"Well good luck with that~" Michael replied with a happy tone.
