The hug was sort of awkward between me and Lily, but after two or three seconds it felt okay and we took out seats at the cafe
It was a gloomy, but sunny, breezy day in London. The squares was busy as always, and our favorite cafe to relax at was moderately packed. Typical.
Johnny was at his villa, and I had left a few hours ago to meet Lily here. Now that we were uncomfortably looking around and away from one another I regretted not staying with him.
Lily decided to break the tension first, "Ari, I know it's been a while...but let's just work up to that conversation..." she gave a small smile, so I agreed seeing she was trying to be peaceful.
"A-alright..." I nodded shyly, playing with the small straw in my latte. Lily sipped hers and we finally started small talk.
It was going fairly well, we managed to avoid any point that might lead to me and Johnny being together for half a year now.
Not many people knew that. Only a select few, ever since he took me to the Bahamas I had been working nonstop on photoshoots, and promotions.
Johnny really didn't mind, as long as he got to call me, or see me as often as he wanted -with his status he dropped in to every shoot welcomed.
Although, Lily had stopped requesting to do shoots with me, and I didn't bring it up or confront because she had her reasons. I smiled sadly, mindlessly stirring my drink from the thought of us being apart like this and for so long.
"So yeah that shoot in New York was fast and not that hard.." Lily finished here story, and I nodded, barely remembering what she had just said.
"Um, yeah New york shoots usually go that way..." I reied quietly, biting my lip and looking at a couple walking by.
"How are you and Timothee..." I ask absentmindedly. By the time I realize what I've asked, and blushed, Lily raises her hand and laughs shaking her head.
"We broke up, like a week ago? You didn't see the news?" Lily laughed some more as I shook my head in disbelief and leaned forward, giggling a little bit.
"No! You know I'm not into all that crap! How come you didn't tell me, like call me at least!" I hit her arm, and she faked an injury. "Cause you might've been busy with my dad, that's why!" Lily hit my arm back, still laughing, but I instantly stopped and frowned in shame.
I let her laughter die down, then asked, "So, are you finally okay with it??" I gulped a sip of my latte as Lily went stoic. "Do you love my dad?" She asked straight out and I jumped to answer calmly, "More than myself....more than anything else.." I confessed honestly.
Lily leaned forward, staring into my eyes, "Then yes....I'm fine with it now." She smiled and I grinned, getting up to hug and kiss her. "Finally! Took you long enough!" I was so happy that I wanted to call and tell John.
Lily poked my sides, trying to wriggle out of my hugs, "You are so dramatic! Ari stop we look ridiculous!!" I didn't budge and we both laughed until our stomachs hurt.
We talked for another hour, and I finally asked the car to come around, and then invited Lily back to the villa if she had time. Lily gave it a moment of thought as the car pulled up and I pouted, nearly on my knees begging her to come over like we were seven again.
"Pahleassseeeee!!' I tugged her sleeve as the driver opened the door. Lily sighed, and gave in with a smile. I squeaked as she hopped in, and the car headed off, but on the way back she had a list of things she did NOT want too see me & Johnny doing...which was slightly fair.
"None of that cheest shit please! If I hear I love yous I'm leaving the room. Pet names I can deal with but not that weird stuff, please no hardcore flirting in my eyes. Oh, and if yall....ya know while I'm here....I'm unfriending you both on Instagram quicker than light!" Lily took a breath after explaining her rules, and I held back a giggle.
