Rosie's POV
I was now dry. It's nightime. I'm staying at the Palace with the King, Queen, Spazz, Olivier, Aurora and Flames. I'm on a balcony, looking out at the stars. My mom, Emily, went on an important trip to another land so I have to stay at the Palace for a few days. My dad died in the war, so I never knew him. I sighed, thinking about what could've been if my dad didn't die.
"Can I join you?" A voice asked, startling me. I turned around to see Flames. I gave him a small smile.
"S-sure..." I told him. He came over and stood next to me, watching the stars.
"Have you met Kellyanne yet?" He asked me. I shook my head no.
"Who's Kellyanne?" I asked.
"Knuckles and Rouge's daughter." Flames said, looking at me. I smiled as I looked into his eyes. He's kinda cute... I thought, then I shook my head. What am I thinking?!
"You ok?" Flames asked. I nodded.
"Yeah... yeah I'm fine... Just-just thinking about something..." I replied.
"You don't need to be shy around me." He told me. I smiled. "Wanna see something cool?" He asked.
"Sure!" I replied. Suddenly, a light blue thingy surrounded me and I was brought up into the air. "Ahhh! Get me down! Get me down!" He chuckled and flew up in the air next to me, and a thingy wasn't around him. He flew around me.
"Have you ever wondered how to fly?" He asked.
"M-maybe... I-I never really thought about it..." I replied. He reached out his hand.
"Take my hand..." I smiled and nodded. I took his hand. "Now, straighten out your legs and keep them together. Put your arms out in front of you, ok?" I nodded and did as he said. "Now, let's fly!" We started flying around. I screamed, terrified. I closed my eyes.

I can't go back to where I used to be

I laughed as we landed back on the balcony. "That was fun!" I said.
"I know! We should do that more often!" Flames replied.
"Ya know, I was really lucky to do this with you... Thank you..." I said.
"No, thank you... I never had that much fun in a while. If you ever wanna go flying, you know who to come to." Flames told me. I smiled.
"I'll keep that in mind..." I said, then I walked away, a big smile on my face.
