Chapter 1 - The Start Of A New Beginning

This is the updated version of the story Promise We Made.

Today is the start of a new beginning. New challenges to face, new memories to make, and new obstacles to overcome.

Ash was returning home to Pallet Town after his adventures in the Unova region. He stood up upon a familiar hill overlooking the small town, then he took a deep breath.

"We arrived at Pallet Town, buddy," Ash said to his trusted friend who was sitting on his shoulder.

As Ash arrived at his home then he opened the door, "Mom! I am home!" Ash shouted happily as he walked in.

"Ash honey! Welcome! I've missed you so much." Delia said as she walked over to Ash and gave him a bone-crushing hug.

"I've missed you too, mom," Ash said with a smile and Delia broke the hug.

"Hey, Pikachu, how are you doing? You look healthy as usual," Delia said happily as she patted Pikachu's head.

"Pikachu chupi," Pikachu cheered happily.

Delia wiped the tears from her eyes, "Ash why don't take a shower first and change your clothes," Delia said.

"Okay," Ash said and ran upstairs to his room.

After entering his room Ash took off his hat and bag and gently put them on the bed.

Ash made his way over to his desk where he kept all the achievements he had won during his journey and he placed his Unova badges there.

He is satisfied with how far he came when he started his journey but a little disappointed in his performance in the Unova League.

Ash dropped his face in disappointment, which was noticed by his buddy.

"Pika."

Ash smiled, "We will win next time. But for that, we have to get stronger. I wonder what our next journey will be. We shall ask Professor Oak."

"Pika!" Pikachu says, agreeing with his trainer.

Ash then rushed downstairs and shouts,
"Mom! We are going to Professor Oak's lab."

"Bye, Ash but come back before dinner time," Delia said and waved her hand from the window.

Ash nods his head, "Ok, mom! Let's go Pikachu!" Ash said as Pikachu jumped on his shoulder.

"I can't wait to see all my Pokemon again, it's been so long since I saw them!" Ash shouted in excitement.

"Pika," Pikachu said.

As Ash started to walk down the path to Professor Oak's lab with his buddy Pikachu.

After minutes of walking Ash finally arrived at Professor Oak's lab.

Suddenly, the ground started to shake and the Ash looked around and then noticed thirty Taurus herd coming towards him.

"Hey, guys slow down," Ash extended his hands in front of him and ordered the Tauras to stop but they didn't stop and kept on running towards him.

Pikachu quickly jumped off his shoulder to meet the other Pokemon.

Bulbasaur grabbed Ash's hand and pulled him from the running herd. Finally, Bulbasaur was able to stop the Tauras herd. Seeing that they stopped running Ash walked forward and petted all the Tauras on the head.
