Dex POV
So the coordinates led me and Stina to a back alley in Mysterium.
"Stina maybe we shouldn't do this, this is sooo illegal" i advise.
"Dex you realize it's way too late, this guy probably doesn't take too kindly to wasting his time" She says
Alvar told us this guy was powerful. Really powerful. No one knows his identity so for all we know it can Councillor Bronte!
We get to the end of the allyway and it was a dead end.
"Well I guess we got the wrong coordinates" I say.
I look over at Stina who's hunched over some cardboard boxes in the corner.
"Stina what're you doing?"
"Hush" Stina says
"Did you just hush me!" I cry.
But then i notice it.Behind this boxes is a window. It's wide enough anyone can fit through, but looks like it's been opened a lot.
"Stina what is that!" I ask.
"Alright Dex what we got to do is go down." Stina says
I look down the window, you can't see the bottom, it's like a chimney.
"Stina we don't know how far it goes!" I cautioned.
"Dex you grab onto the wall and climb down" She answers.
"How do you know!" I fretted.
"Dex you trust me right?" She questions.
"Of course!"
"Then trust I know what I'm doing"
So with a sigh, I get down. We seem to be climbing for a long time but in actuality it was only a few minutes.
Don't look down Dex. Don't do it! No! Stop!
I look down.
oh. We're almost to the bottom.
We make it down and we're in a dark rock room with many passages.
"C'mon Dex, it's this one" Stina says gesturing to one passage.
"How do you know?" I ask
"Because reasons, now come on"
I follow her and we go through twists and turns for what seems like hours.
Finnally we make it to a dark metal door.
Stina knocks and a deep voice says
"State your buisness?"
"We're here to see the boss" Stina says
"Names?"
"I'm Stina and this is Dex" Stina answers.
They open the door and wow. IS this an underground rave!
I look around the flashing lights and blaring music. Theres people dancing and musicians preforming so loudly on stage.
"Stina what is this place!" I yell over the music
"It's a place where people who think the rules are ridiculous and have fun partying!" She yells back
"Hey guys over here!" said a familiar voice.
it was Dahlia.
"Dahlia your the boss?" I ask.
"No of course not I'm going to take you to him" She says
We weave through the crowd and make it to a door.
"This is where I'm going to leave you guys" She says
"Your not coming with us?" I inquired.
"He wants to meet you alone" Dahlia responds.
We step in.
It's a normal office. Perfectly stacked bookshelves not a hair out of place.
Sitting at the desk was a man who looked familiar somehow.
He was wearing a mask for some reason, it was pure white and covered his entre fsce but had two holes for the eyes. He had blonde hair and ice blue eyes. From his height and build I can tell he's an adult male.
We both sit on the chairs across from him.
"You seem to have jumped through many hoops to meet me, I'm charmed" The Man says
"What's your name?" Stina asks.
"People call me Narcissus" He responds.
"And no, that's not my real name" He says
"Well we need help" Stina says
"You want me to change your matchmaking lists correct?" Narcissus says.
Correct. God why is that so familiar.
"Yeah that is" Stina responds.
"Well here's the thing, I'm not going to do anything for free" He says.
"Ok, so hold up. Where are we! And Stina what's going on!" I exclaim
Narcissus looks at us.
"Dexter your in Lost Cities Underground. I run this entire franchise. Have been since I was in the elite levels." Narcissscus explains
"How come I've never heard of this place?" I counter
"We were going to invite you but then you became friends with Ms. Foster and we would never invite her" Narcissus responds
"Why not?" I ask
"Because Sophie Foster is a snitch. Plus she knows someone in my life who I'll never let in here." Narcissus says
"Sophie wouldn't tell anyone" Stina argues
He looks at her.
"Ok maybe she would tell people" Stina says.
"Listen I'm a busy man so here's what's going to happen, I'll change your matchmaking list, but you have to do something for me." Narcissus tells us
"What?" I ask
"I want Della Vackers wedding ring" he says cooly
"Why would you want that?" Me and Stina say at the same time.
We look at each other then look away blushing.
Narcissus ignores this.
"That ring is made of a special gem that has the power to make the wearer seem like the most beautiful person in the room. And I want it" he says
"Honey," Stina starts. "If your trying to be beautiful that mask ain't doing it for you"
I can tell he's rolling his eyes under the mask.
"It's not for me, it's for a friend" he says.
"How the heck are we supposed to get her wedding ring!?!" I exclaim
"There annual Orem Vacker light thing is coming up, and I know team valient is invited. Just go there and take the ring, easy" he says.
"No wa-" I get cut off by Stina.
"We'll do it" she says
"Perfect" Narcissus says.
