Prologue

I was about to open the door when Eisuke spoke. "Where are you going?" He coldly asked, still looking at his work. "Umm... to a friend. She invited me over for dinner. Can I go?" I asked. "Do what you want." was his reply. "Thanks Eisuke. I'll be back soon." I beamed, as I made my way downstairs.

"Hey, Meggie..." Ota called out. "How many times do I have to tell you, stop calling me Meggie." I said as soon as I was close to them. Ota chuckled, "I find it cute." I sighed.

"Where are you going, Megumi?" Baba asked. "To a friend." I smiled. "Is that okay with boss?" He asked. I nodded, "Yes, it's okay with him."

"Just be careful. It's not safe out there." Soryu said, blushing.

Mamoru, who was puffing a cigarette, smirked. "The kid is just going to meet a friend, not to look for trouble."

"But, she is a troublemaker." Baba chuckled.

"My friend is waiting for me, so gotta go! Bye!" I waved them goodbye.

"Hey Alexie." I greeted my friend. "Hi Megumi. Come on in." she motioned me to enter. "I have sooo many things to tell you." she said, and just as she was about to speak again, her boyfriend cut her off. "You can tell that to Megumi over dinner." he said.
Alexie pouted. "Oh... don't make that face. You're too cute." he said, and gave a quick kiss on Alexie. "John!" Alexie yelled, blushing. "There is a guest here." she said. I giggled, and said "Don't worry, I don't mind."

Alexie brought the food to the table. "Wow... I bet this is delicious." I said. Alexie sat down, and said "Dig in."

We did what she said. "Megumi, about what I want to talk to you about..." she spoke, and I swallowed my food. "Yeah, what is it?" I asked, and drank a glass of water.

Alexie clasped her fingers with John's, and raised it up so I can see it. "We're getting married!" She excitedly said. She showed me their engagement ring.

I almost spat out the water. "What?!?Don't you think it's a bit sudden?"
Alexie's brows furrowed. "Sudden? We've been in a relationship for 3 years! What's sudden about that?!?" Alexie raised her voice.

I didn't want to sound like that, but... "You just got engaged..." I said, and Alexie smiled.

*sigh* I thought I was going to die.

"No, we just didn't tell you." she said, "Anyway, I want you to be my bridesmaid. Can you? Pleeeaaase." She pleaded with puppy eyes. "Of course! I would love to." I stated. Alexie's eyes shone. She stood up, and reached for me, then she hugged me. "Thank you!" She said. I giggled.

When I got back to the penthouse, Eisuke was waiting for me. "You took your time." he said, standing up and coming closer to me. "Ye-yeah..." I mumbled. He slipped an arm around my waist, and started kissing me. He gave me a last sweet kiss, before carrying me to the bedroom. "Eisuke!" I screamed his name, before he tossed me to bed.

He got on top of me, and started unbuttoning my blouse, WHILE kissing me. "Mhmm...!" A moan escaped my lips, as he touched my sensitive parts. "Ow..." I yelped when he bit me. He kissed me again, and it happened.

I opened my eyes, his face is so close to mine. His eyes fluttered as they got use to the morning sunlight. "Good morning." I whispered. "Mornin'" he replied, stroking my hair.

I was about to close my eyes, when I remembered something. "Oh yeah, uh... Eisuke?"

"Mhm?"

"Can I meet my friend again? She said she would give me th-" I paused. "The what?" Eisuke asked.

"She would give me a gift." I lied. Eisuke raised an eyebrow.

Am I that bad at lying?

"Fine... good thing I have someone to meet today." he said. I sat up, and kissed Eisuke.

I jumped off the bed, and went directly to the bathroom.

I entered a café, and sat down on one of the tables.

After a few minutes...

"Sorry we're late. And we're sorry that you have to come all the way here." Alexie apologized. John placed down a box, and they both sat down. "Here's the invitation, and the dress." Alexie gave me a silver envelope, then she pointed the box in front of us. "I already knew your size, so... here." she pushed the box. "Oh... I forgot to mention, the wedding is two weeks from now, and it will be held at Paris, France. We hope you would still come." Alexie said, giving me a plane ticket three days before the wedding. I smiled, "I am gonna ask my boyfriend first. I hope you understand."

Alexie nodded. "Shall we order?" She gave a goofy smile. We all chuckled.

The waiter gave us our orders. "Megumi," Alexie spoke, and looked directly through my eyes with excitement. "Who is this boyfriend of yours?" She asked, her chin resting on her hands. "Umm, he's Eisuke." I answered. "Do you have a picture of that lucky guy?" She asked teasingly.

I nodded, and pulled my cellphone out of my bag. I searched through my photos, and found a stolen shot of Eisuke. "Here." I showed Alexie my phone. Her eyes widened when she saw the picture clearly. "Your boyfriend is EISUKE ICHINOMYA?!?" She raised her voice, standing up, making all the people look at us. "Shh... quiet down!" I whispered, covering her loud mouth.

She gave a peace sign to the people, and sat down. "That was so embarrassing." she mumbled, covering her face in her palm. "That's okay, honey." John put an arm around Alexie's shoulder. "Calm down a bit. It's hard for the baby." My eyes widened, and I screamed. "You'll have a baby?!?" The people looked at me. Someone cleared their throat.

We stared at a fat guy in a business suit. "If you're just gonna make some noises as if today's New Year, you're free to go out."

Because of our embarrassment, we exited the café.

"Sorry I had to scream that loud." I glanced at John and Alexie, who was PDA-ing.

I guess I'm the third wheel, huh?

"That's okay. I did that too." Alexie said, giggling.

A phone suddenly rang. "Oh, I have to take this." John said, leaving us alone.
