What?!? Clarrisse?!?

John came back with a pleased expression on his face. "Who's that?" Alexie asked. "My client. He accepted my offer." John said. "Really? That's great!" Alexie beamed with happiness. "I have to meet him at 3:00. You'll just stay at the house for a while." John said.

Alexie pouted, and crossed her arms, making John kiss her.

"3:00? But that's 30 minutes from now." I glanced at Alexie and John. Alexie gave me a don't-worry look.

"We have to go, Megumi. Buh-bye." Alexie and John waved goodbye as they got into their car.

"They're so lucky to be engaged." I sighed, as if I have a disease-a reason that I can't marry.

Well, good thing I'm not a cancer patient, nor a victim of any disease. I'm very blessed that I have good health.

I went to the mall to find a gift for the couple.

I rummaged through every shop on the whole floor, but I still haven't found the perfect gift for them.

~Flash back~

I entered a clothing shop.

I looked through every corner of the shop, and found nothing that suits them. "Why do they even have this here?!?" I said, looking at the G-string panty with matching bra, and very high heels. "W-what?!?" Flustered, I put it back, and left the shop.

NEXT SHOP

I entered an antique shop. "I hope I can find a perfect gift for them here." I whispered.

After a few minutes...

Ah... yes! I found a blue vase with aesthetic features around it. "How much is this?" I asked the saleslady. I crossed my fingers, hoping it would be cheap enough for me to buy. "It's... 500,000 yen." my heart sank. " O-okay." I left the shop. If I buy this, I can see a future with no money.

Finally! I found a couple shirt. I eagerly bought them and was about to go outside the mall, when I noticed Eisuke.

"Ei-!" A sight stopped me on my tracks. He was talking to a girl, about two years younger than him. He wore a sweet smile, the same smile he used when we pretended we had a relationship. The smile he used to fool Carolina, but I can see... this time... it's true.

My heart clenched painfully when he kissed her forehead, and then he crouched down to the girl's stomach level. He was talking to it.

Is she... pregnant?!?

I held back my tears, and listened intently to what he's saying.

"I bet you're cute, just like your mother. Stay healthy, baby Clarrisse." he said, then he stood up.

I don't want to march right in front of them. I don't want to judge Eisuke like that. I'll wait for him to tell me the truth.

"Eisuke..." I whispered his name.

I hope this is a misunderstanding.

I can't take it anymore! I dashed out of the mall, and headed to the hotel.

I was about to go to the elevator when Ota and Baba stopped me. "Hi Megumi." Ota grinned. "Boss is not he-"

I cut Baba off. "I know. I was just going back to the employee dorm." They both got out of my way.

As soon as I got to the dorm, I plopped down on my bed. "So exhausting!" I groaned. I pulled out my phone, and was about to call Eisuke.

My mind: Maybe I shouldn't.

I frowned.

My heart: But I miss him.

My mind: No, he's busy.

My heart: Busy? He'll give some time for me.

My mind: I said no. He's busy with that girl.

My heart: *cries*

My mind: She's just a buisness partner, that's all. Now, shut up!

My heart: *cries even more* I can't.

My mind: *sighs* fine.

I was about to call Eisuke when my phone rang. It was Eisuke.

My heart: See, I told you.

My mind: Alright! Answer it now!

"Hello? Eisuke, why did you call?" I asked. "I just want to hear your voice." I can feel his smile on the other line. "Heehee... I miss you too." I giggled. "Where are you?" I asked. "I told you before that I was going to meet someone." he said.

I sighed. "Why are you sighing? Is there something wrong?" I can hear a hint of concern in his voice. "No, I'm just tired." I said. "Get some sleep. I don't want my girlfriend to be tired."

My heart ached. I remembered that incident on the mall. Ugh! "Okay, bye Eisuke." I ended the call.

I rested my head on the wall, and sighed.
