REMEMBER WHEN I said "They'll hearabout us soon enough," to Lauren?
Well, it was soon, alright.
But I never thought that it would be like this.
I never thought that my name trending would spike ignorance instead of an eye for my swift movements on the ball that I spent all my life working on.
But here I am, two days later. Not necessarily wallowing in my pit of anger, but utilising it to strengthen areas of my game.
I increased my bench press this morning and something tells me that it was fuelled by much more than my own muscle.
"You got any links for management?" Lauren asks while she ties the laces to her Adidas Predators. I slouch in my seat, having already finished my preparations for our second training session of the day.
Our first one was in the gym so boots and heart rate calculators weren't necessary, but now they are. I've just finished putting them on; trading my Nike runners for my studded Mercurials.
All there is left to do is actually go outside, but none of us can until we're given the okay— which is taking longer than usual because our outdoor timetable has clashed with the other United first team's one.
They're currently using the whole ground to run laps.
Ouch. I don't envy them.
We should be out within the next five minutes, but for now we're just lounging around in the changing room like part of the furniture.
On one hand, it's fine, because we're given more time to rest. But on the other hand, the impending wait to test new plays is infuriating.
It's also extra infuriating to know that I won't be a part of those plays in our next game against Everton, who beat West Ham, in the FA cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
