Emaline's eyes widened as she held out her hands in shock. Other than the missing finger her skin also had a pale greenish tint to it, that seemed to get a darker green every second. Her hands went to her head where she found two tiny little horns. She started to panic, what did she look like now? Is this even her?
"Yeah...like I said, Dragon Juice will remove any magic cast on an object or being." The dragon girl said, moving to sit in front of Emaline.
"So you're saying magic was cast on me?" Emaline asked, still staring at her abnormal hands.
"Yup!!" The girl said. "And let me say, we only use a drop usually but the magic used on you was heavy and was cast with....special....um what's the right word...." she said. "Oh! Special conditions."
"What kind of magic are we talking about here?" Emaline asked, her hands traveling down to her ears to find them slightly pointed. "And how do I know I can trust you?"
"You can trust me, I promise. And well, by some species it's called black magic, others its forbidden magic, and for us it's called demon magic."
"Why is that?"
"Its because...." she stopped and looked down at her hands. "In order to create such magic, one must have killed a glorious creature. Such as a Dragon, or an Unicorn, or an Alicorn, or the most power comes from killing one of the four Lizards. Which may not sound deadly, but, the Lizards are what keeps this world at harmony; what keeps it from letting one species rule and kill off all of the others, but I'll get into that later. Right now, all you need to know is that someone killed a creature and used it's blood, or another part of the creature to make a potion that hid your abilities and looks from you and everyone around you. It's called demon magic, because in the past the only ones evil enough to use this kind of magic, were the demons. But then theres a rumour that a human met a demon....or got possessed and started using demon magic, which then that human taught it to others....and so on...." She said, like this was casual talk.
"But who would do that? And something I just now thought is, I know both of my parents, so which ones the elf?"
The girl chuckled, "Neither of those stupid peasants. Because she ain't your mom, Emaline. But I'll get more on that later, I'm sure after me dropping a bombshell like this, you need time to comprehend it, so I'll leave you alone." She stood and headed for the opening, her long wings swaying behind her.
"Wait, one more thing." Emaline said, "You keep saying you'll get to that later, but when are you actually going to tell me?"
She turned and looked at me. "I'll tell you when your half-human brain is able to comprehend." She chuckled again.
"And I think I missed your name?" Emaline said.
"Oh pardon my manners. I'm Demala Vekek." She said, bowing.
"And I'm Devdad Vekek." A familiar voice came from the outside.
------
"Wait what?!" The prince said, taking a step back. He took a breath then said, "Is there anything else I need to know about my father?"
-------Emaline's face scrunched into a glare, and she stood up to greet the guest. "I thought your name was Reynor? Or did you kidnap him too?" She crossed her arms over her chest.
Devdad let out a light chuckle before entering. Underneath where he had had his mask was his face, which looked like Demala's. Except his scales were on the bottom half of his face instead of the side. The top half was dark grey also. His eyes were slanted down, and he also had two white fangs sticking out of the sides of his mouth. The rest of him looked the same though, except he didn't have any gloves on, which revealed the fact that he only had three fingers. "Whatever happened to the rules of being polite?"
