Chapter 4: Trials PT.2

Y/N POV:

After landing in the forest Katsune and I make continue to make our way through.

Katsune: It feels nice here.

Y/N: Yeah...

Katsune: Do you want me to let go?

Y/N: It's fine you've always been really light.

Y/N: Might want to cut back on the strawberries though.

Katsune: (lightly punching Y/N's head) Shut up!

Y/N: Hehe...

Y/N: It's still bizzare that spirits need to eat like us humans.

Katsune: It's not that I need to...I just like the taste of sweets.

I continue to run until I hear multiple growls around me sensing six presences in the bushes.

Katsune: Looks like there's trouble already.

Y/N: Hold on tight.

As if on cue six Beowolves jump out from the bushes as I take a leap back before unsheathing Kurome and charging at the pack.

The first one leading the charge rushes at me as I swing to its side seperating the Grimms upper and lower half.

Two more of them try to use the opportunity to hit me as I dodge ones swipe with its claws and leap in the air to avoid the others lunge as I shoot them down using my pistol.

I land as the remaining three risk it all with an all out attack as I return the favor by decapitating the first one, splitting the second one in half, and ending the last one by piercing its chest.

Y/N: That's the end of that.

Katsune: You were so amazing Y/N!

Y/N: Thanks...

We continue on our path until we both smell something burning.

Katsune: Is there a fire nearby?

Y/N: Stay hidden.

Katsune: Right...

I put my hood up as Katsune fades away to her full spirit form as I run to the source of the flames to see Ruby and Weiss preparing to fight a large pack of Beowolves.

I leap in the air and land in between them.

Y/N: You two okay?

Ruby: Y/N?!

Weiss: We need to go!

She grabs Ruby's hand dragging her away as I remain in the flames.

Weiss: What are you doing idiot?!

I raise Kurome in the air as the marking appears around it erupt from it absorbing the fire into it.
