i open my eyes and try to adjust them to the light. i shuffle around the bed and remember what happened last night. i pick my phone up and realize what day it is. today is the day we are going to the music festival this year. it's called the vibes festival. we've gone every year for the past four years. i press my feet against the cold wooden floor with a shiver going through my body. i walk downstairs to see no one is home. i check my phone and realize they went camping this weekend.
i go upstairs and facetime the girls.
as their faces pop up on my screen i see they're all just waking up too. "guys it's festival day!" i scream barely awake still. "i'm still packing!" charli says as i see her rushing.
we finish packing and stay on the phone till around one.
"okay guys i'm gonna pick you all up so we can go to the hotel after i get dressed." they all say okay and goodbye. i facetime josh as i put a little bit of makeup on. "hey." he says as his face pops up on my screen. "hey dunkin boy." i smile as he laughs. "where are you going?" he asks. "oh we are going to the vibes festival this weekend, you and your friends should come one night." i say as i put some mascara on. "how long is the festival?" he asks. "it's tonight through sunday night." i say as i finish up my makeup. we talk for a little bit longer. "hey i got to go we have to leave in like thirty mins but i'll text you when we get to the hotel." i say. "okay byeeeee." he says before hanging up. i get up and change into something comfortable since it's a four hour drive.

i grab my bags as i send a text to my parents letting them know we are leaving today. my mom says okay since she knows it's a summer tradition for us girls to go to the festival.
i put my bags in the car and grab my back pack with my chargers and camera since i want to vlog. lately i've been wanting to start a youtube channel so now is the perfect time to start.
i set up my camera and plug my phone into the charger in my car. i start recording and explain what's happening. "so guys right now i'm going to pick up charli and kenz, and then dani and addison are driving separately since there will be more room that way." i say as i pull out of my driveway.
once i get to charlis house kenz is already there. i help them get their bags into the trunk and they get inside.
we stop at a gas station for snacks and gas. we end up getting so much junk food but yolo. "i can just imagine dani and addi getting like smoothies or avocado toast right now." kenz laughs as we shove hot cheetos into our mouthes.
_____a day later____
i wake up to my alarm and charli and kenz are literally both on top of me. "guys." i laugh and shove them. "bro." kenz whines. "sorry." i laugh getting out of the hotel bed. "festival time!" i scream as addison shoves her pillows over her ears. i turn on my speaker and blast mac demarco while getting ready. i hear my phone ding so i pick it up.
