Elijah POV:

For hours I had been reviewing yesterday, Ella had known from the beginning who I was, but she hadn't told the witches anything and otherwise she refused to help the witches. Why she did not want to be called by her full name remained a mystery, she had given personal reasons, but which ones she had not revealed.

The knock on the door ripped me out of my thoughts and, to my surprise, it was Niklaus who had something on his heart. "You're sure  she won't betray us?"   he asked me directly.

"She could have betrayed us yesterday, I know she won't betray us" I assured my brother, and the time on my skin was proof of that. I still couldn't believe  the  legend had come true.

But it had to be harder for Ella to accept that she was here. "You're sure," my brother said, "I heard herself say yesterday to Juliette that they should look for someone else, they wouldn't help them, she could have left me there, but she couldn't," I replied, and Ella could have left me there. She hadn't.

"I hope you're right," Niklaus replied, looking at me, "She definitely didn't fall on her mouth,  you're going to have a lot of fun with her, she's probably less likely to say anything about you than Hayley," he added with a broad grin. When I heard the name Hayley, I felt a slight stab,  I pushed the feelings straight away, Hayley was married to Jackson..

"How do you get on with it?" I wanted to know from my brother, "She gives counter, she's not afraid of me, although she knows what I'm capable of, she's stubborn and she has a Moral compass like you, according to Cami anyway," Niklaus replied, leaving my room without another word but it was his way of saying he would accept Ella. As long as she did not plan anything against us, she would do so, she would be given a fate that was more cruel than death.

Camille had been in the short time  she spoke to her, so did she analyze that she followed a moral compass? This had been clear to me from the very beginning, because she had refused to help the witches. Tomorrow Niklaus and I would have to give the witches and especially Juliette  de Roux more than just ane explanation of what exactlytheir ancestors wanted.

Ella POV:

The next morning went quietly, Elijah and Klaus had gone to a meeting with the witches and Freya had made it her mission to find out more about the connection to her brother by means of my blood, so now I sat with her and watched her practice various sayings to find out how far the bond had already developed. After just under a day.  Rebekah had  given me a black cardigan, underneath which I was wearing a simple grey T-shirt and black jeans, luckily the cardigan was bigger and I was able to cuddle in it, as I had often done, and especially now that the ghosts were around me all the time, I was cold.

And I was usually the one who had it warm, Freya looked at me, "You could have let my brother there," she remarked, and with that she asked aquestion, why?

"And give the witches a sacrifice directly so that they can find a way to kill a original?" I asked her, and Freya focused again on the paper in front of her. "Elijah was right," she muttered, and the men  stepped in, before saying anything, I could already feel his presence. The tingling was now intensified between the shoulder blades.

"What was Freya right about?" her brother asked her, and unlike me, she shrugged slightly, Freya hadn't noticed him yet. "She has a pure heart typical of earthly angels and she tells the truth in all aspects, but one thing is a mystery to me as to why the Mark showed itself so early," she told him..  Elijah looked at his sister inquiringly, "Normally it wouldn't show  up until a connection has been established, an emotional level, but that's not the case here,"  she told him,  creating another mystery.

"What did the witches actually say?" Freya asked her brother, and Elijah summed up what Juliette de Roux had said. I would  stand up to the Mikaelson family if they would destroy them all, I should have died and Elijah was cursed because he had not let me die. I was the ultimate weapon for the witches against hisfamily. "Cursed, an interesting paraphrase," Freya remarked, pointing to the paper on which a symbol had formed, it looked like the infinity sign only thes it was a kind ofrunic writing that I had never seen before. It had taken some of the characters that Ester had used to kill her children in the Vampire Diaries.

"This rune says the exact opposite, it will be an essential part of protecting Hope,"  she revealed the reason I was apparently here. My knowledge would save Klaus from having to live 5 years without his daughter and siblings, Elijah would not kill Marcel, in the name of his family and Hope would grow up with her father. Freya added that the bond would continue to develop because I was an earthly angel, Elijah would become stronger,  elijah would not age and live as long as he lived. Great foreviews.  "So you will be forever connected with my brother, my condolences," commented Klaus,Freya's interpretation of the runes before her. "Only if the tape continues to strengthen and even if it looks like it now can that change," Freya said, reprimanding her younger brother with a glance. "Why are you looking at me like that? You yourself said she will be connected to Elijah for the rest of her life, she will not age,  why not my condolences," he quipped. "Your brother deserves more condolences,  with such a brother you really don't need enemies and this family has had enough," I remarked, standing up. Klaus looked at me, "You can be happy,"he began, "What? That my life is tied to Elijah? That if you do something to me you hurt your brother? Should I be happy about that?  Stop finally wanting to determine every detail of your siblings," I interrupted him and left the room. I couldn't and didn't want to hear it anymore,I didn't want to hear anymore that I was Elijah's little man, his angel or whatever Klaus still had for nicknames.

"We're not done yet," Klaus grumbled, and stopped in front of me, "What else do you want? Do you want to tell me what I can say now? Stop calling me your brother little angel all the time, I have a name! And I'm not somebody's possession, even if that might not go into your head,"I resisted and Elijah  approached. Klaus sparkled  at me,  "My brother also has a name,"  Klaus replied.

"Niklaus" Elijah warned him, I left Klaus standing, why did I have to land here? Why did I have to be something supposedly special? "Ella" I heard Elijah say behind me, he spoke my name carefully, as if he  wasn't sure if I was going to rip off his head or not. Instead of stopping, I kept walking until I arrived at a big window. One could look into a large garden as far as the eye could see, a large meadow, trees on one side that formed its own small forest. Elijah stopped next to me, I could feel his gaze on me. "The witches will not stop until they have their weapon," Elijah began, explaining to me what he meant by that. The witches had told him he was cursed, I would mean his end..  "But they don't know anything about the time, so I have to ask you not to leave the compound without me or my brother," he concluded. "I'm not going to step one foot outside and certainly not with Klaus, I'm not crazy," I replied, trying  to hide how much this situation took me, not only the ghosts were causing me problems, the whole situation was crazy..

Especially because the stone I wore around my neck had any effect only in combination with Elijah's blood. "But you're talking to him" Elijah replied, "Don't mean I'm putting a foot outside,"" I replied.

"Just when I wanted to ask if I could show her a few objects, because unfortunately I can't read a word of Dutch and Klaus seemed pissed about something,"  Cami interjected and Elijah looked at me amused, "He's offended because she told him, he is a bag of shit, when you literally translate the curse word she called him," he explained to her, and Cami  laughed warmly at his statement. "Then he should stop calling me angel,"  I resisted, and that made Cami laugh even more, either she had drunk something before she came here, or she found it hilarious.

"He didn't tell you anything about it," Cami said, as she calmed down, and Elijah found what objects she had found that she wanted to show me. "A book about  angels and I don't understand Dutch, but it might be important for your situation"...
