"These are amazing shots, Eliza!'' gushes Tanya. She's my blonde haired sidekick number one. I was showing her all the photos I took from earlier that morning. I was one of the school's best photographers for the school paper. So if any event comes up, you bet your ass I'll be there!
''You really think they're that good?'' I ask Tanya. She nods her head distantly as she turns her focus back to the homework she probably forgot to do since she was out partying all night.
She and I were polar opposites; me being an introvert and extremely shy, her being someone who'd never pass up the chance to go to a party. She was into fashion while and I was into sports. I never understood how we got along, but we've known each other since middle school, and making friends then wasn't as hard as it is now.
I was the epitome of shyness. Now when I say that, I don't mean being really quiet and not socializing. The shy I am is hiding in the nearest hiding place I can find if anyone I know walks into a ten meter radius.
When I see an animal, my first instinct is to say ''hello.'' But when I see a person, I look away and hope it goes away. Ya feel me? No? Okay.
But oh well, I guess opposites attract. Often, we think that similiar people get along well and are meant to be with each other. Realists go with realists and dreamers go with dreamers. But that's not entirely true. You see, the dreamers need realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And, well, without dreamers, the realists might not even get off the ground.
Woah, strong words, Liz. Strong words.
Tanya wolf wistles beside me and snaps me out of my reverie. I look up from my pictures to see what got her attention. "Oooooh look at that fine ass."
''Ew, shut up.'' I mutter.
She was looking at the new guy who had joined our school, Lindale High just yesterday. He had a killer smile and a body basically made of muscle. But what got my attention most, was that he had blue eyes- not those typical cold, unwelcoming blue eyes like the ones everyone around the corner, but a deep, ocean blue. He already had the girls swooning and falling at his feet which was downright disgusting.
Typical jock. But nontheless, he was hot. Not that I would admit that to Tanya of course, because she would immediately start pairing me up with him since she was always nagging me to get a boyfriend.
"You have some drool over there," Tanya says, pointing to my chin.
''Oh, your mom must have left it there last night." I retort smugly. She smirks at me and goes back to her homework.
The bell rings and Tanya curses beside me, ''Shit, dude Chem is my first period!''
I shoot her a grim smile, ''Next time dont give your homework the backseat.''
"Okay, mom.'' She narrows her eyes down at me and I chuckle slightly.
"See you later, gotta get to class!''

I enter my English class and take my usual seat beside the window in the second row. I take out my books and wait for the teacher to begin.
"I'm here! I'm here!'' someone shouts and enters the classrom in a rush, and it's the new school hottie, of course. The girls all stare dreamily at him and I turn my head away, disgusted.
''Since you seem to be the only girl not lured by my charms, may I take this seat?''
I turn around to see the hottie himself gesturing to the vacant seat next to me. What an arrogant little shit. I shrug nonchalantly and look up at him. He looks extremely familiar (I mean of course I saw him today morning and yesterday too but something apart from that) and I guess I do to him too because soon we're having a staring competion.
It suddenly clicks in my head and I think it registers to him too from the look on his face, "Alex? Alex Chandler?"
"It's been awhile, Ellie Bellie."
