I woke up with a pounding headache in an unfamiliar room. Next to me was an unconscious Regina with her upper body hanging from the sofa's arm. It took me a few minutes before everything came crashing back, worsening my headache causing me to yell out in pain.
I must have woken Regina up because her eyes slowly fluttered open. She looked around the room before looking at me with a confused look on her face.
Just as she opened her mouth to say something, the door swung open and in walked Omirion. He did not even acknowledge Regina's presence and came straight to me. I was about to say something when my head swung to the left with such force.
My mouth hung open as I realized what had just happened. This man had actually slapped me and I was not here for it.
"What the fuck?!" Regina screamed out after what she had just witnessed.
Ignoring my headache, I stood up on the sofa before launching my body onto his. As soon as I came into contact with him, I began punching him in his head and back as he tried to shake me off of him.
I was not about to just let him hit me after he was the one who brought me back to this shit hole. If I was such a nuisance to him, he should have just left me alone and moved on with his life. Unfortunately, he brought me back here only to raise his hand on me.
Now although two wrongs do not make a right and violence never solves anything, I felt like I needed to hit him. Something at the back of my mind tells me that him being hit by a woman will be a good eye opener for him to realize that a woman can do anything that a man can.
When he finally managed to shake me off him, we both took a few minutes to catch our breath. He did not look too good after what I did to him, but I am pretty sure it will not be long before the right side of my face swells up.
"I'm guessing you two know each other and although I don't condone violence, that was just wow," Regina commented on the little situation that had just taken place. Even with everything that had just happen, I could not hold back my laugh.
"So now what?" I questioned angrily. "First, you don't want me as a wife. Then, you tried to force me into being what you assume to be a proper woman and now that I was out of your hair, you brought me back. Why did you bring me back?" I paused.
"Just to slap me," I answered before he could. "And if you think I am just going to be some raggedy doll for you to do as you please, you should think again. I will always do as I please, when I want to and you can't stop me!"
Omirion looked beyond pissed as he clenched both of his fists tightly.
"That's right!" Regina cheered as she stood up. "I'll gladly back you up, sister." Hearing her cheer me on and support me made me smile.
Omirion took in a deep breath before speaking. "If only you knew the humiliation you put me through, you should be thankful that you're still breathing," he said in an aggressive tone while slowly walking towards me.
I laughed in his face. "Humiliation you deserved. Maybe now you know how women feel when we are treated like accessories and not your equals."
I know I was risking him beating me up but at this point, I did not care. Not like I ever did though. It was just frustrating having to deal with him after enjoying my short-lived freedom and I was angry that he dragged Regina into my mess.
"Not only did you drag me back here but you just had to involve my friend in this situation. Couldn't you just have your men brought only me?" I asked.
"At least they brought her back in one piece," he huffed.
It was now Regina's turn to get angry. The expression on her face was one that I had never seen before and it spoke volumes.
"Excuse me?" She said in disbelief. "I don't know who you are and personally, I would rather it stay that way. I haven't even been around you for that long but I can tell you have some major mommy and daddy issues since you don't know the proper way to treat a woman." That was the first time I have ever heard her raise her voice and let's just say, she sounded completely different.
"I did not bring you into my house to disrespect me, so you better watch your tone darling," Omirion threatened.
Regina chuckled. "As a matter of fact, you brought me into your home without my consent and therefore I can speak to you with whatever tone that I want, honey," she responded, putting emphasis on honey.
"Before I do something I might regret later, why don't ladies just cool off." Omirion then left the room and locked the door behind him.
"So what do we do now?" Regina asked as I shrugged.
