-Game over-Start over?

"Ughhh!" Elias groans sinking his head into his pillow at his now 7th attempt to get a good ending on his mobile atome dating sim. It seems no matter what he tried, he kept messing up somehow. Luca, a virtual character, has been one of the main points in Elias' mind since he decided to download the game. Though he's only but fictional, Elias can't help but cling to that fantasy as his though it was real.
He runs his hand threw his hair and ties it up out of his face. He sighs looking at the late time of 2 am, he'll definitely be struggling to stay up during first period later on. Just thinking about it makes him regret staying up so late.
"What's the point?" He says to himself quietly, taking off his glasses and setting them on the night stand next to his bed. With that thought he tucks himself in after putting his phone on a well needed charger and turns off his lamp.
Closing his heavy eyelids he lets his thoughts wonder into the night and he couldn't help but question..If you were real, maybe I could finally have a happy ending.

Music booms through Elias' phone as a signal to wake up. It's 5:40 am."Ahh!" He jolts and turns it off in a hurry. I really need to lower the volume on that thing, he thinks to himself as he pulls his groggy body out of his bed comfort. School has been going for at least 5 weeks by now, but he still struggles getting up in the morning. Maybe if he went to sleep on time then it'd be a bit easier..
Walking into the bathroom, he squints at the bright lights as he flicks the switch on and runs the sink water to wash his face. He notices the faint dark circles under his eyes and sighs, I really need to go to bed on time. The rest of the house has already started to awake as well, there's a glow downstairs from his mom turning on the lights to get ready for work. His little sister, Vivian, walks into the bathroom rubbing her eyes.
"Mornin' Viv," Elias says while drying his face off. She nods and goes to stand next to her brother to brush her teeth, her head the only thing seen in the mirror from over the counter. Her hair by now is a curly mess that runs down to just over her shoulders and her sleepy dark eyes are complemented by her warm almond skin. Elias grabs his toothbrush as well to brush his teeth and their mom calls from downstairs.
"Make sure you catch the bus on time my loves! Stay safe, I love you!" She rushes out the door, locking it behind her. The siblings mumble that they love her too through their brushes and spit at the same time.
Once finished getting ready for school, Elias waits near the door wearing a loose sweater over a collared shirt with jeans, his usual outfit. Vivian scampers to the door towards her brother ready to go with her hair in 2 braids, patterned skirt and tucked in uniform.
"Ready to go?" He asks.
"Mm!" She nods, smiling brightly at him.
They head out the door, backpacks in hand, and lock it behind them to start their walk to the nearest bus stop. The cool morning air brushes against them and Elias pulls out his phone to check his game. The opening screen is one too familiar as he has spent many weeks trying to complete it. However something's off.. a message pops up but before he can read it, Vivian grabs his hand.
"Eli, you should pay more attention to what's in front of you," she pouts. She had a point seeing as Elias would have kept walking in the same direction passing the bus stop if she hadn't stopped him.
"Oh yeah, right. Sorry Viv." He apologizes and slips his phone back into his pocket. She looks down still holding his hand awaiting the bus.
There's something she's not telling me, he thinks to himself. Lately, Elias has noticed how quiet she's been. He knows she puts on a smile for show but there's a certainty in his mind that something is up.
He squeezes her hand and she looks up at him, "Vivan, is there anything wrong? I mean, you can tell me anything you want but is everything okay at school at least?"
She flinches at his words but quickly calms down."Um, well I guess I'm still just a little nervous going to school," she trails off, her voice soft. Elias was not convinced but decided not to push it as he notices her bus turn the corner driving towards them.
"Mmm Okay, but remember that we love you alright? I'll see you soon, be good," he answers. Vivian nods and gives him a tight hug before climbing onto the bus. Elias waves at her through the window as she's taken away to school and he waits for his own bus to appear a few minutes later.
On the bus, Elias spots a seat where his friend Leia is still half asleep. She gives him a sleepy smile and moves her bag for him to sit. "Hey sleepy, did you not get enough rest?" He asks. She smirks lifting her expression, "Oh I went to sleep on time, unlike 'someone' who you know, most likely played a dating sim allll night."
Elias creases his eyebrows at her. "Okay okay, you didn't have to come for me like that," he chuckles. Speaking on that topic, Elias decides to pull out his phone once more to read whatever message popped up earlier. His eyes widen in surprise at the strange notice, the words scroll out as he reads.
We have heard your wish, and it shall be granted. Would you finally like a happy ending?
*Yes
*No
Warning: choose carefully...
What is this? Choose carefully?..Elias had no idea how to react to this sudden offer. Leia peeks over to glance at what was confusing her bestfriend. "Are you gonna accept? It's probably just some weird update or something," she shrugs. Elias acknowledges her words but still seems uncertain, what wish are they taking about? They've never asked anything like this before.
Leia breathes a sigh and clicks yes for him. "Leia!" He shouts in a whisper not wanting to disturb the other students on the bus. She only pats his head and goes to lay down on her bag in her lap saying it'll be fine. However as soon as she clicks it a new message appears.
So you have chosen, well done.
Don't regret you're decision, Elias Myne.
His phone shuts down immediately afterwards.
Elias in a hurry, tries everything he can to turn it back on but it doesn't budge. Seeing as he couldn't do anything about it, he slips his phone back into his pocket just as the bus enters the school district.
