"OH MY GOSH NINO YOU LAZY SHIT! STOP SITTING AROUND AND HELP US!" Cried a frantic Alya.

"Okay, Alya calm down. But, NINO THIS PARTY HAS TO BE PERFECT SO GET OFF YOUR ASS AND ONTO YOUR FEET!" Marinette shouted while baking a cake. Not just any cake, she had to make it special. Something Chloe.

Almost two weeks had passed since the little confession Adrien had made to Nino. At that moment, Adrien planned to confess to Marinette too but with all the preparations going on with Chloe's birthday party in Alyas and Ninos house, they were all far too busy. Alya and Ninos house was big enough for a grand party so everyone agreed to keep it there. Chloe's party had to be perfect.

Marinette was making the cake while her parents helped make other treats such as cookies, macaroons and cupcakes. Alya's mum was making all the food. Adrien was wrapping presents and Alya was doing the decoration with Sabrina and directing everything. Nino was supposed to be making a playlist but he was being lazy.

Even though everything was almost done, Marinette had to do an inspection to see if anything was missing or not done properly.

Once she finished making the cake mixture and set it in the oven, she sat down to take a break until the cake was done. "Tired?" A soothing voice had asked.

"Yeah," Sighed Marinette. "There's still so much to do and her party is in only a few hours and I'm just really stressing out because everything needs to be perfect and-"

A warm hand touched her shoulder. "Hey, hey. Don't worry Marinette. Everything will be okay, just relax." Adrien assured her. Marinette gave a subtle nod and leaned back on the sofa, closing her eyes.

Adrien paused for a moment, admiring how peaceful Marinette looked, as if she didn't have a care for anything. A small smile creeped onto his face but he was soon snapped out of his daze when Alya clicked her fingers in his face.

"These presents won't get wrapped up by themselves, Agreste. Stop staring and get to work." She snapped, with her hand on her hip and a slight frown on her face. Adrien sighed and went back to wrapping the presents.

A certain 'ding' sounded from the kitchen oven and Marinette headed over to take the cake out. Once it was cooled it was time to decorate.

"Right, who's gunna help me decorate?!" Adrien and Latrelle perked up and ran into the kitchen.

Marinette turned her head to the approaching footsteps to see who would be working with her and noticed that Adrien was running far too fast and that there was water on the floor. "Oh Adrien watch out for the-"

"AAAHHHH!" Adrien screamed as he slipped onto the floor and fell on to his backside. "Owwwww it hurts! And my trousers are all wet. Just great."

Everyone stood there watching him as he whined for some seconds before bursting out into laughter.

"And that, everyone, is how you have some fun!" Alya proudly announced with a cheeky grin on her face.

There were a few quizzical gazes at first but then everyone came to realise that it was Alya who purposely spilt water on the floor. Marinette laughed some more before going to up to Adrien and lending him a hand.

"Get up." Adrien grabbed her hand and was about to get up when he pulled her down into his lap, their faces just inches apart.

"W-what are you doing, Adrien?" Marinette asked, eyes as wide as saucers and cheeks slightly pink.

"It's payback for laughing at me." The blonde replied with a slight smirk. The two got lost into each other's eyes and started to inch towards each other's lips when Alya yanked Marinette out of his lap and into the kitchen.
