Chapter Seven: Crushes and Consent

I smile, dragging my friends down the street. Shoto, Hitoshi, Tenya, and Ochako all laugh at me.

"So, where is this cafe?" Tenya asks. I turn around, smiling.

"Well, sir, it should be right around this- there it is!" I shout, running towards it. They follow behind.

"Slow down, Koyama!" Ochako yells, laughing. I walk through the doors, smiling.

My favorite cat is waiting for me. I sit down and he jumps into my lap. I giggle, petting him behind the ears. That's his favorite spot.

"Hello, Sir Maxwell the Third." I greet, smiling softly at him. He meows in response.

"Koy-"

I giggle as the other cats swarm me, pleading to be pet. I giggle, complying to their wants. Sir Maxwell meows loudly and all the other cats back off.

"Is someone jealous?" I tease, petting him again. He doesn't answer, but purrs loudly instead.

I roll my eyes, looking up at my friends. They all look red-faced.

"Uh, are you guys alright? You all look red..." I worry, standing up. They snap to their senses.

"I'm fine, Koyama." Shinsou answers. The others agree.

Ochako pins me to the ground, smiling. I groan.

"Ugh! Why do you always beat me, bubblegum?!" I yell in anger. She laughs at me. She looks down at me and a blush dusts her cheeks. I blink twice before my face gets red.

"Koyama! I need your help!" Tenya yells. I look over, nodding. Ochako climbs off me.

I run off to help Tenya.

Ochako

Darn it, Iida. I had her right where I wanted her. Grr

Tenya

That was close...

I exhale deeply as Koyama runs up to me.

"How can I help you, Tenya?" I ask. My eyes widen.

I haven't come up with a reason yet. Oh, no. Uh...

"Uh... I think something is stuck in my engines!" I shout. Ugh, idiot. She looks at me, tilting her head. It's so cute!

"Do you want me to look for you?" She asks. My face goes red.

"U-uh, yes. Just be c-careful." I mutter. She laughs, bending down behind me.

She softly touches my calf. My eyes widen and I cover my mouth. She runs her finger over one of my engines. I bite my lip, closing my eyes.

"I don't see anything- are you okay, rocket?!" She shouts. She jumps up, grabbing my shoulders.

Without warning, she presses her lips against my forehead. My mind gets fuzzy and I feel liquid fall from my nose.

"You are burning up! Rock... et...?" She trails off. I fall over in her arms.

"Your nose is bleeding! Are you okay?!" She yells. I laugh lightly.

"I'm f-fine..." I mutter, standing up. I pull my handkerchief out of my pocket and wipe my nose.

"Koyama!! I need help!" I yell. She looks over at me. She checks Iida over then walks over to me.
