I guess you can say I have some memories that are coming back to me, a life I once lived and loved. Chicago with Stefan, a brief and honest love. One that I chose to walk away from, a choice I was never able to take back. A blond boy came by Rousseau's today, reminding me of that love. All he had to do was mention Caroline Forbes, and I was back there, with Stefan, in my head.
Josh is wary of this mysterious vampire who claimed to be in town to recruit for the Salvatore School. Here in New Orleans, we hardly ever sent our supernatural youths to that boarding school. The witches were taken care of by Freya if they needed guidance, or even Davina if she was in town. The vampires had Josh and I to talk to, Marcel even. The wolves were in the Bayou, usually minding their business.
Josh and I work hard to keep the peace around here. Not saying that I don't trust Caroline Forbes or Alaric Saltzman, but I do remember that it had been years since this town had seen peace. Things that stray outside of Mystic Falls often come bringing trouble.

"But I gotta admit, he was pretty cute," Josh said. "It'd say he's your type, but I don't think I've ever seen you date."
Lilah looked up form her journal. She shut it with the pen in the middle of the page and shoved it to the side of the desk, looking up at Josh. he was standing against the doorframe to the office area in Rousseau's, where Lilah was sitting during her break. It was also where they conducted interviews, did paperwork, or would hide out if one of them was too stressed to deal with their drunk customers.
"He looked like a sixteen year old, and you served his alcohol," laughed Lilah.
"You look like a sixteen year old serving alcohol, and?" her roommate questioned. "Plus, Goldie Locks is a vampire, who knows how old he really is? Who cares?"
"I guess I do," she shrugged. "He seems familiar, so if he's a few couple hundred years old, perhaps I ran into him once upon a time."
"Ah yes, once upon a time in your very mysterious, secret past that must stay in the past," Josh said in a mocking tone. "Because all that matters now is the present."
"Shut up," Lilah laughed. "I do not sound like that."
"But you do," responded Josh with a playful smirk. The smirk was wiped off after a moment and he said, "Things have been weird around here lately. Maybe it's not a coincidence that he's here."
"What do you mean weird?"
"There's photos hanging outside and at the Mikaelson house of some girl none of us know."
Lilah quirked up an eyebrow at him, sitting up straight in her chair. "And no one thought to tell me?"
Josh shifted uncomfortably in his spot, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Uh... things have been... rocky... for you lately," he said softly. "We wanted to keep you as stress-free as possible."
