Chapter 4

Aleksea's P.O.V.

I sat on the couch, a pout dancing on my lips. It wasn't fair, I finally got a hint of who my mate was but I couldn't find him.

"Aleksea, is everything ok?" my mom asked, sitting beside me and combing my hair with her hand.

"I guess so." I shrugged. I know, it was kinda pathetic for me to act like I lost my Harry Potter movies but still.

"Vent it out." My mom sighed.

"It's just that I finally found my mate - sort of - but unlike everyone else I know my mate didn't see me and I didn't see him! There was a fight but how do I know that my mate isn't some punk that deals drugs and flirts with every girl he meets! What if he rejects me?!" I cried, holding my face in my hands.

"Pumpkin...Thats not going to happen. I promise." She said reassuringly.

"Mom...please don't make promises you can't keep." I growled rudely before stalking outside.

Shifting into my wolf form, I went to a clearing and lied down, preparing for Delilah to talk with me.

This is terrible.... My wolf whimpered.

I know...Its not fair. Everyone else I know found their mate right when they got a hint. But us... I sighed

You shouldn't have disrespected your mom like that. Delilah growled.

I know. I'll apologize later. I answered quickly.

You better. She responded.

Do you think that when we find him, he'll love us? I asked, a little scared of the answer.

Yes. My wolf purred.

I smiled gently, getting up and running through the forest, messing up my fur.

When I got to the zoo, I slowed down and went into my usual hole by the wolf exhibit, slipping in.

'Delilah!' A tawny wolf named Flurry yelped, licking my ear and whining happily.

At this, the entire pack charged towards me and greeted me with soft nips and licks.

'Hi guys! Greetings, Streak.' I purred, nodding my head at the Alpha.

'Welcome, Delilah. How's your pack?' Streak nodded back, gently nudging my flank.

'Very well. How about yours?' I smiled, looking about the habitat.

'Smoothly. If you haven't noticed, Mountain Bluebird is expecting pups.' He barked.

Tell her I have her my blessings. Im sure they will be wonderful. Rally?' I asked with a playful glint. 'For the visitors.'

'Fine, but let's get to our positions first.' Streak said with a flick of an ear.

The 7 member pack climbed the rocks, some facing sideways some facing forwards.

I was beside the Alpha pair, a.k.a. Streak and River Run.

The Alphas started it, many people stopping to watch.

After them, I started singing the dog only wolves could understand, ONLY wolves.

Then, the beta's and the Alpha's (plus me) sang the second verse, the rest of the pack joining in the middle.

"ALEKSEA WERE WERE YOU?" My dad screamed, lunging at me and hugging me so hard I couldn't breathe.

"Visiting." I said with a strained voice.

"Honey we were worried sick! Don't ever do that ever again!" My mom gasped, embracing me tightly.

"Can't....Breathe..." I forced out again.

"Right sorry. Hurry up and get changed. We're going to meet with Alpha Kayden, Luna Camryn, Beta Ryan, and Beta Selena along with their son Braden." My mom sighed and left me to get prepared.
