Aleksea's P.O.V.

I woke up with a yawn, my wolf Delilah still asleep in my mind.

"IT'S MONDAY WAKE UP!" My mom yelled, charging into my room and throwing off my covers.

"Good morning to you too." I groaned, pushing myself up with my very sore elbows.

My mom winked and turned on her heel to walk away. "Wake up Delilah too."

I groaned and mentally pushed my wolf up.

Let. Me. Sleep. Delilah groaned.

No. Monday. Get up. I ordered

With Delilah up, I prepared for the morning, dressing, washing my face, and getting breakfast.

"Goodmorning." My dad smiled, hugging me.

"Hi dad. How's Luke?" I smiled back. Luke, my dad's wolf, had somehow gotten the flu.

"He's fine. I don't want to wake him up though." He sighed, taking a hand and running it through his hair.

I bit my lip and nodded, shifting into my wolf form and running to school.

I was a rather beautiful Maned Wolf, with a black pelt and piercing amber eyes. White flecks dotted my tail and in my eyes were shards of blue and green.

My pack member Grace met up with me at the school.

"Hey! How are you?" I smiled, running up and hugging her.

"Great! How about you?" She laughed, hugging me back. She always liked hugs...

"Awesome! How's your pack doing?" I answered pulling away and walking with her into the school doors.

"We're doing...ok..." She said hesitantly.

"Are you sure? You can always tell me if something's up." I frowned. I knew things with her and her pack had been tight. After her father and mother left Grace to start their own pack, the True Light Pack had blamed it on her.

"It's just...I finally got 'excepted' back into the pack but I haven't found my mate. Plus," she said in a low voice, "Alpha Gadrian and Luna Rebecca just died. Beta Ryan took up the position but my pack and I are extremely vulnerable."

"It's ok G. My pack will always back up yours." I said with another smile before traveling outside.

Wait.

That smell...The fresh air and Pine smell.

MATE! Delilah practically shrieked inside me.

What? I yelled, running through the crowd of people.

I powered on, my backpack banging against my back roughly and my raven-black braid coming out.

"MATE!" Someone yelled. It was undoubtedly the voice of a male.

"Calm...you...mate..." Another yelled, me only getting bits and pieces.

Hold on, was the Alpha Kayden?

"Aleksea! Aleksea!" Another voiced hollered.

I turned around and saw Luna Camryn coming toward me, her eyes turning from black to blue. Her wolf was trying to get out.

"What do you smell?" She asked me, grabbing my shoulders and looking me in the eye.

"Fresh air and pine. Why?" I answered as Camryn nodded as ran through the horde.

After that, the scent faded and I was forced to face reality:

I did not find him today.
