"Nothing, really. Roxy and I were just discussing how you coming across as dumb hasn't been a surprise to anyone." Jacob grinned.

"You think you're so funny don't you?" Jasper sarcastically rolled his eyes at Jacob.

"Oh that wasn't a joke.... Was it Roxy?" Jacob turned to me with a sly smile spread across his face.

"You two are actual goofs aren't you?" I laughed.

Jasper sat down on the couch with his arms still folded and his jaw still clenched, he looked like an angry baby. Jacob just stared at him and continued to make jokes.

Awkward.....

Once again the door opened and daddy and Jo came inside.

"How you feeling, lamb?" daddy asked.

"I feel great. When will I be discharged?" I yawned.

"You just had some mild alcohol poisoning so if you still feel okay by the end of the day, we can go home. But um.... I gotta talk to you for a minute lamb.... Do you people mind giving us some privacy?"

Daddy signaled Jo and the boys towards the door and within a second, they were all out.

Daddy took a stool and wheeled it over to my bed.

I raised my left eyebrow at him and decided to have some fun by teasing him.

"So uh...... you and Jo huh? Thought you weren't gonna pop the question till thanksgiving? What made you change your mind?" I nudged him gently with my left arm.

Daddy rolled his eyes at me.

"I don't know lamb, but uh, when I was walking with her in the garden, I noticed just how beautiful she looked in the moonlight, and that's when I knew it was the perfect time to ask her to be my wife."

A tear slid down my cheek as I thought about ma. I was so happy for daddy and Jo and I felt guilty because of that, because it felt as though I was letting ma's memory fade away.

"Hey..... I know you miss your mother, but we've grieved for long enough lamb, its time to move on, Laura would've wanted this."

"I know daddy, I just feel guilty for forgetting her."

Daddy came close to me and hugged me and whispered, "I love you, lamb."

"I love you too, daddy." I wept gently.

Daddy pulled away after a ten second long embrace.

"Hey... uh... there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about. Last night.... when you know... I proposed to Josephine, I might have done something a bit irrational....."

I raised an eyebrow and glared at him.

"Daddy..... what did you do?" I was seriously starting to get worried.

"Now lamb, don't freak out now okay...."

"Daddy......!!!" I grabbed onto the crutches close to the bed.

"I MAY HAVE ASKED HER TO MOVE IN WITH ME!!" daddy spoke with a nervous little smile across his face and his eyes shut as though he were scared I was gonna attack him, and boy, it took me going against every fibre of my body to not murder him in that very moment.

"What the actual fuck daddy!!? Why would you do that?" I screamed.

At this point I was pretty sure my screams were echoing in every corner of the hospital. I was this close to pouncing on him with the metal crutches.

Daddy backed away immediately.

"Now Roxy...... Put the weapon down......" he told me.

"They're moving in?! What the hell?!" I started shaking with fury.

"M-m-maybe?" daddy was so frightened of me.

I took a deep breath and stayed frozen in place.

They would live with us. Like actually live with us?! They can't. Where would Jasper, Jacob and Jason sleep?

"Where would Jasper, Jacob and Jadon sleep then? We only have two rooms." I calmed myself when I realized that there wasn't enough space for all of us. I sighed with relief.

"Well, its only Jasper and Jacob, Jason actually has his own place, a very lovely house."

"But there isn't enough space...." I started panicking again.

He smiled nervously, rubbed his neck and backed away.

"Well... uh actually lamb, I thought they could sleep in your room till we build them another one." He ran towards the door's exit afraid I was going to ambush him. And believe me, I wanted to......so freaking bad.

"So they would like, sleep on the floor? And what about closet space? I am so not going to share."

Daddy started perspiring anxiously. " I thought maybe you could give them half of it?"

"Daddy I love you, but with all due respect, I'm trying my best not to bash your head in the wall."

"Quarter would work too?" he meekly whispered.

I threw the first thing I caught hold of. Sadly, it was my favorite glazed donut on the side table.

Jasper walked in and he took the fall for daddy.

"Ow! Why?!" he yelped in agony, clutching onto his left eye that I had hit him on.

"Oh gosh, sorry......!!" I gushed.

"Ooooh donut. Today's my lucky day." Jasper grabbed it from the floor.

"Five second rule."

"Stealer." I sulked.

"Finder's keepers." he stuck out his tongue at me.

He tried to run away, before i stopped him.

Daddy had slipped out of the room very discreetly when all of this was happening.

"Hey.... uh can I talk to you?"

"That depends..... Are you gonna steal my donut?" he clutched onto it protectively.

"Only not if you listen to me."

"Yeah okay......" he proceeded to walk to me with precaution.

He sat on the stool.

"So I heard you're moving in with me...."

"Yeah, it's gonna be such a nightmare...." he took a bite out of the donut.

"You better not puke on me now.... I'm warning you otherwise you won't hear the end of it! I'm gonna burp in your face for the rest of your life if you do."

"Noted," I laughed. "There's something else I wanna talk about as well... This is a bit more serious."

He moved the stool a step back.

"Okay.........."

"I'm sorry about today. The throwing up on you and Delilah."

He winced.

"I know that bracelet meant so much to you, and I'm so sorry ruining it, I really am. I also saw you crying near the bushes this morning, I didn't know why, so I left..... I shouldn't have done that. I'm so sorry. I know you miss your mother, I miss mine too, If you ever wanna miss people together, I'm always here." I forced a smile on my face.

A salty tear dripped from his blue eyes.

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for making you cry.... I shouldn't have said anything."

He removed it immediately.

"Don't be ashamed. You're allowed to show your sadness."

"You don't know squat, Roxy, just stop poking your nose in things that don't concern you. You're so snoopy.... its not even fucking funny!" he got up, threw the donut on the ground and left.

I was left puzzled and a bit sad. I don't know what I said wrong?!

Great how I manage to piss just about everyone off... Fantastic job Roxy!
