"No lamb, wouldn't dream of it in a million years. You're my whole world, my everything..... And I love you more than I love myself."
"Too bad you're not the one who gets to decide." I shuddered, still clutching onto his hand, afraid to let go.
"I won't ever leave you." his whole body ached as he struggled to get the words out of his mouth.
"Pinky promise?" My face continued to stream down with a river full of tears and I tried to force a smile upon my face as I held out my pinky and neared it towards him.
"Pinky promise." he chuckled forcefully.
For two whole blissful minutes, I just laid on daddy's bedside, and prayed with the rosary.
"Knock knock." Jo walked in, relieved to see me calmed down and even more relieved to see her husband awake.
"Hey you." Daddy and Jo locked eyes for a solid minute before she came to embrace him.
"I think I'll leave you two alone." I got up wiping the noticeable tears off my cheeks as Jo clasped onto my arm.
"Hey..... We good?" her voice cracked as she spoke.
"Yeah, don't worry about it."
Jo loosened her grasp and went back to sit on daddy's bedside, still wearing that gorgeous wedding gown of hers.
I walked out into the corridor to see Jacob and Jasper crying. Jason was nowhere to be seen. I went up to them, kneeled down and hugged them tightly.
"How you kids doing?"
"We're fine, but really, how are you holding up?" Jasper asked worriedly
"I mean, not great, obviously, but I'll be fine."
"You kids hungry?"I had no idea hows that question popped up.
"Jason went to go grab us milk from the cafeteria." Jacob pointed towards Jason who emerged from the elevator. As soon as he saw me, his eyes brightened up as he rushed to embrace me.
"Do they seem more than friends to you right now?" Jasper lifted one eyebrow as he whispered into Jacob's ear.
"Dude....... Why is that your main concern right now?"
"Jeez chill, I'm just tryna lighten up the mood." Jasper backed away.
"Whoa whoa, back up sonny, she's mine." Jasper tried to seperate us when he noticed how close we were.
"Dude give it up." Jacob laughed.
I didn't care for what they were talking about, all I cared about was being in Jason's arms, and hugging him, oh so tight that I didn't wanna let go and wanted to forget about the reality which was my daddy's soon demise.
"Daddy........daddy's going to leave me........." I sobbed uncontrollably
"I know hon, I know. It's going to be alright." Jason whispered.
"No, it won't be, I'm losing everyone I love....... God fucking hates me." I whimpered.
"No he doesn't, everything happens for a reason, love." Jason kissed my forehead while Jasper watched us with his mouth so wide open that a fly literally got in.
He choked for a bit while Jacob, Jason and I shared a much needed giggle watching Jasper suffer, sadly, within a few seconds, the moment was over and I was shoved back into reality.
R-r-roxy, call the doctor right now." Jo roared as she came out of daddy's room.
"What....Why?"
