The outfit and hairstyle is in the picture

Some days have passed and Ellie had learned some new news, her mate is coming to New York in a couple days, actually precisely on her birthday. She knew the Guardians were the ones who did this they must have decided to invite him to her party. Lacey had decided that she had to have a Roaring Twenties Masquerade Party. Ellie wasn't particularly thrilled about it she had lived threw the twenties and it wasn't her favorite time to remember especially since she was with Daryle at the time, not to mention the clothing in the twenties weren't exactly the best looking clothing and they didn't look like how the clothes they use for twenties clothing now. Lacey has been dragging her all over the place to store after store looking for the perfect outfit. Ellie wasn't in truth getting tired of all the looking until finally they found a vintage store that sold twenties clothing.

"I just can't believe that he's going to be here for my party," Ellie told Lacey.

She shrugged, "Well you were bound to meet him sooner or later isn't it better that's its sooner instead so you don't have to worry about all the anticipation."

Ellie hated when her friend was right, she nudged her, "I guess you're right. But still, I'm not sure if I'm ready, what if I don't like him or visa versa."

Lacey wrapped her hand around Ellie shoulders bringing her closer, "That's why my dear Ellie I'm throwing you a mascarade party. This way he won't know who you are and you could get to know him behind a mask."

Ellie laughed, "Ya OK, but how would I know its him?"

"Hmm good question," Lacey thought for a couple moments then smiled and pointed her finger to the sky, "well since he is your mate shouldn't you be able to feel him or smell him or something."

Ellie's eyebrow raised in a mocking way, "I'm not a Were Lac I can't just sniff him out."

"True, well how do vampires find their mates."

"Well, the rents told me that its a pull, I should be able to sense him where ever he is and once I see him I should know."

"Well there you go."

"Ya OK but I still don't know about this."

"What aren't you sure about."

She shrugged, "Well what is he doesn't like me."

Lacey looked at her friend like she was crazy, "He will love you girl, and if he doesn't he will learn to if I have anything to do about it," she said while punching her palm.

Ellie laughed and nodded pulling her friend along with her to look at more clothes for her Mascarade party.

The night passed along with the day and so it was Ellie's birthday. Ellie looked at her outfit that was hanging up in front of her closet next to the mirror. A knock sounded at her door. "Come in." She continued to look at her flapper dress that was pink and went to her knees and had some black and white sequence all around it. She actually liked it. Through the mirror she saw her parents walked up behind her. She turned around to face them and saw the smiles on their faces.

"I remember the twenties and they were pretty liberating for women and the style may not have been the greatest but the outfits they have now are pretty fun," Alexis said. "Do you need any help?"

Ellie shook her head, "No but thank you."

Lander spoke up, "We just wanted to express to you how proud we are. You have come so far and have come to mean so much to us, more than anyone we have ever saved and that not just because you happen to be the youngest. You are well educated, you are a colossal help when it comes to protection."

"But most of all you are a great person," Alexis added. Ellie smiled at all the please things they said. "We've decided to give you something extravagent."

"Really, what?" They had her excitement peaked.

Lander smiled, "Look out the window." She ran to the window and spotted a new car, practically brand new, it was beacutiful. "It a Mercedes Benz E 350, brand new never used. We got it for you're trip."

Ellie spun around, "Where exactly are we going?"

"You three around reread going to a very dull boring place to fit in with everyone else, a place where there's not to much sunlight for you..."

"But just enough for Lacey and Brenton," Alexis added.

"And where is that."

They both looked at each other. "Your going to Alaska, specifically Juneau, Alaska."

"Alaska?!"

They nodded, "It's quiet, a nowhere place, and it's pretty much always cloudy fo you."

Ellie nodded, "Ya I'm sure it is, it's Alaska. And what are we doing there? Job wise."

"All the information is in the car for the three of you," Alexis said calmly.

"Has Lacey and Brenton been notified?"

Lander nodded, "Lacey was upset like you and Brenton was just fine with it."

Ellie sighed, alaska?! Why? She looked back to her clothes and decided to focus on her part and not the day after. "I've gotta get dressed. Can you tell Lacey to see me?"

"Of course," Alexis walked up and laid her hand on my shoulders gently, "You'll see. This will be good for you."

Lander walked up as well, "Think of it as an adventure, one you get to share with your best friend, and mate."

Internally Ellie wasn't thrilled but she had to let her parents think otherwise so she nodded and smiled, "Alright." She turned around and hugged them. "Thank you for the car, it's beautiful."

They just smiled, nodded, then walked out. Ellie grabbed my dress and shimmed it on. Should she do an actual 20s hairdo. The door opened, "Ellie, have you done your hair yet."

"No, that's why I needed you."

"Ohh ok, well what do you wanna do with it, do you want it like mine?"

Ellie looked at her hair and saw she made it look very 20s. It look short and wavy with no hair out of place. "I don't know, maybe curl it and see where it goes."

"Alright," she ushered me to sit down in front of my desk. She set out to curl my hair and since it is a bit long and thick it took a good hour and a half. "So what do you want to do?" She grabbed some pins and began to go about it without waiting for her answer which is what she loved about Lacey, she knew what to do when Ellie didn't. After about another twenty minutes Lacey turned me around to look at myself and Ellie actually liked it. My dark wavy curls turned into a updo with some strands of hair hanging down everywhere in a clean yet messy way that looked fantastic. Ellie smiled at her, "Thank you."

Lacey smiled back, "You're welcome," she left for a second to grab the headband Ellie was going to wear and carefully placed it over my hair. Ellie stood up and slid my low heels on and looked in the mirror at the completed look. She was rather pleased with it, Ellie definitely didn't look this good when she herself was in the twenties or at least not that she remembered.

She actually took a good look at Lacey's outfit and fell in love with her look. It was a black knee length dress filled with sequence and. She looked beautiful. "You look gorgeous."

"Well thank you darlin, no how about we go downstairs in the dinning hall and celebrate you're special day." She held her arm out for Ellie and Ellie intertwined it with Lacey's and the two of them walked arm and arm into the dinning hall.
