3rd Person POV ~
Sounds of people chattering, bells ringing, kids running around, joy fills the air. All sorts of food stands, game stands, and others lined up on each sides. Its 15 minutes until the year ends. The Choi family plus Ryujin were at a new years festival to watch fireworks.
Lia excitedly waited for the fireworks to start. Ryujin chuckled beside her looking how Lia occasionally looks at her watch and the sky back and forth. Lia then sniffed the air and turned her head only meeting sight of a box of takoyaki her dad is holding.
Ryujin took notice and looked around the area. She pulled Lia's hand towards the direction of the stand,
"A box please miss" Ryujin ordered in english,
"This is deja vu" Lia chuckled,
"I'm offended you don't remember" Ryujin leaned at the counter,
"Just kidding, of course i remember. Thank you" Lia smiled. They're about to walk back when Lia spotted a fortune teller stand across from them.
"Can we go there for a sec?" Lia grabbed Ryujin's hand. No way for Ryujin to refuse Lia's puppy eyes. They made their way towards the stand,
"Hello, welcome" The teller politely greeted,
"Hello, thank you? Mind telling us something?" Lia excitedly asked,
"Of course, for you miss? Or for your partner?" The teller asked. Lia looked at Ryujin to which Ryujin pointed Lia to go first. The teller guided Lia to pick 3 cards. She then looked carefully at Lia's cards,
"My my, i can say you have a heart as pure as an angel miss. You have a matured personality and mind, although you might be childish sometimes. But that's what makes you a dynamic person and a fun person to be with"
The teller then turned towards Ryujin. Ryujin tilted her head in confusion, the teller was staring at her rather intensely,
"All the people that have came to me, they all gave off certain vibes, but you miss, is rather peculiar" Lia turned her head towards Ryujin and back to the teller,
"What do you mean?" The teller was about to answer when Lia's family came,
"Julia, Ryujin, c'mon, fireworks starting in 2 minutes" Lia's mom pointed out. Lia looked towards her wristwatch,
"C'mon Ryu! We can't miss it!" Lia exclaimed. The group then headed towards the open field. Ryujin turned her body and was about to follow when the teller spoke up,
"The duality in you is rather concerning miss, i have never seen someone that gave off two very distinct vibes and feelings in one body." Ryujin then turned around,
"I have a feeling something is coming towards you miss. Be careful miss, of the wound in your heart, it may never close if you keep on holding."
"What are you trying to say?" Ryujin sternly said as she walked closer towards the counter,
"What I am trying to say miss, what you are holding onto is breaking you without you realising it. And a cracked cup will never be full"

Shin Ryujin POV ~
We're back in Korea. It's been a wonderful time spending Christmas and New years with someone you love, and a family who cares for me also. We're now waiting for Chaeryeong at the airport terminal to pick us up,
"I'm so tired" Lia sat down on the trolley,
"Stay there, i'll push you around princess" I chuckled,
We made our way outside the terminal looking around for a certain Chaeryeong.
"Welcome back gays!" Chaeryeong jumped from our side,
"Finally! C'mon i'm so tired" Lia said. We went to the car, put our luggage inside, and drove home. Lia fell asleep midway in the car. I rested my head against the window, watching the outside blankly as light occasionally illuminates me face as the street lamp flew past us.
"Ryujin? You asleep?" Chaeryeong called. I turned my head towards the driver seat, meeting Chaeryeong's eyes from the rear-view mirror,
"Yes, why?"
"How was it there?"
"Incredible, no words to describe it really." Chaeryeong hums in response. I can feel Chaeryeong's eyes divert back and forth looking at me and the road from the rear-view mirror,
"What is it?" I asked,
"Ryujin.. Are you happy?"

3rd Person POV ~
Chaeryeong and Lia arrived back in their apartment. Chaeryeong then parked her car. She turned towards Lia whose in the passenger's seat,
"Lia, wake up, we're home" Chaeryeong shook Lia by the shoulder gently. Lia slowly fluttered her eyes open to see they have arrived. Chaeryeong then went outside and grabbed the luggage from the backseat,
"Carry on, I'll carry this for you" Lia nodded with her eyes half closed. They then headed towards the elevator. The silence was neither comfortable nor uncomfortable as they made their way inside their apartment,
"Go take a shower, i'll prepare dinner" Chaeryeong exclaimed as she went towards the kitchen. Lia made her way inside her room. She opened her closet and took out a shirt and a jogger pants. She stared outside her window, she can't help but to feel something is out of place. The look on Ryujin was not right, the look she gave when she arrived at their house.
She was about to walk when her phone ringed. Her heartbeat rose as she read the message. She dashed outside her room, startling Chaeryeong which made her drop a plate.
"Holy fu-, you scared me shitless!" Chaeryeong placed her hand on her chest,
"We need to go" Lia said putting her coat back on. Chaeryeong was puzzled,
"Where?"
"Ryujin and Yeji's house"

Shin Ryujin POV ~
I arrived back at me and Yeji's house. I smiled faintly and waved towards Chaeryeong and Lia as they drove off. I don't know what i'm feeling right now, but i don't feel so well.
We're finally back
As comfortable as i was in Canada, and how enjoyable it is back there. Being there temporarily made me believe i am starting a new life. But being back here again, i can't help but to feel the emotions this city brings towards me. I have so much memory that is printed here in Seoul. The memories that made me the way i am today. The unpleasant and bitter memories that is forever in the back of my mind. Chaeryeong's question surfaced inside my mind again,
"Ryujin.. Are you happy?" I looked at Chaeryeong, confused at the sudden question,
"Why wouldn't i be?"
"Just making sure" Chaeryeong smiled. I turned my head back towards the outside. Chaeryeong's question rings inside my head,
I am happy. I have everyone that is with me now. I have Lia with me. But, what's this feeling?
Why am i still in despair?
Still empty..
I slowly made my way towards the house and was about to go inside the gate,
"Shin Ryujin"
I have never heard that voice in so long. That deep voice. The voice i dreaded when i was little, the voice that made me have nightmares, the voice which i supposed long for but in turn all i felt was the opposite. I froze in my spot as all the memories came flooding back into my mind. I turned around, revealing the figure i have forgotten all these years,
"Father"
